Who else thinks if Ethan was put through he could have won?

Still can't get over how Cheryl decided to put through boring Rikki over Ethan
He was my favourite, and so sweet and good looking with a great voice, I think he was very marketable and could have gone far.

I actually think out of the 6 boys, the other 3 should have gone through... ;/

I think he was called Daniel? A more classical styled singer who probably wouldn't have appealed to that many ppl tbh, but he was more interesting than Joe/Lloyd/Rikki imo. Probably for the best though, as Cheryl would have had no idea what to do with him.

I think so. He was a good singer. Duane aside, I think all of the boys were all quite evenly matched in terms of overall ability. Duane stood out however, thought he was very good.

I would have rather Cheryl had chosen Ehtan.
I think though that Cheryl knew that Lloyd would be popular and therefore get plenty of votes.

I wonder why she choose Rikki though...couldnt she see that Duane or Ethan would be much more popular and a modern style?

No he would not have won, he wont have gotten far imo.

This is gonna sound silly but i really think him being american would have worked against him....its a british talent show i doubt most of the uk voting population would be impressed.

Also he does not have a great voice a la joe and he does not have "that look" that the young girls like with lloyd.

Doubt it OP. People seem to have been tranced over his looks and failed to realise he doesn't have a strong enough voice

Lloyd isn't a good singer though. All his performances are filled with bum notes.

I'm not too sure to be honest. If reports are true that Cowell had some input into picking J&E for the live shows, then he's probably had a say in the other acts chosen as well.

Having Rikki included ensures that all nationalities are represented in the competition, thus possibly garnering more votes from people who vote on nationalistic principles. Hasn't done Rikki much good though. Even if Cowell had nothing to do with it, Cheryl has probably cottoned on to this anyway.

Lloyd was better than ethan in both auditions and judges house.

Lloyd is the most popular male in the whole thing, maybe one of the most popular in the whole thing.

I very much doubt ethan would have had the massive fanbase lloyd does....

Ethan isn't an amazing singer but I think he would have been a better choice than Rikki.

I agree, what an interesting and diverse selection she would have had.

Whereas her current 3 boys (now down to 2) are just going to end up taking eachother's potential votes.

1. The British public didn't have a problem with a Spanish woman on last years series.

2. His voice is a million times better than monotone Joe and he's much better looking and no contest vocal wise vs Lloyd, whose presence is now a bigger joke than Jedward.

Cheryl's judgement has been poor in all sorts of ways this year - her singers, her dresses, the songs, her husband.......................

Ethan and Duane were head and shoulders above the 3 Cheryl chose. Vocally just better and more relevant.

I didn't think Ethan was that good. He had the looks, but not the voice.
