When darcy joins the judges

does this mean Lens casting vote wont be needed

or will he still be last and effectivey still have the casting vote ? should it be a 2-2 draw ?

Good question. No one knows when she is joining or why she is needed. Just another excuse for the BBC to waste more of the licence fee money.

I thought she was only coming in for the semi and grand final which means there isn't a dance off at those stages and its just the public vote? I may be wrong that's just what i thought

Len's vote is only the 'casting vote' if the current 4 judges vote and there is a tie - whoever Len has voted for is the winner. When there are 5 on the panel there can't be a tie - that is the point of having odd number.

But presumably Len will still cast his vote last and hence in the case of a draw it will still be the deciding one.

Logically it adds credibility to the SF dance off and a bit more to the judges view in the final. The SF has been the controversial issue and its crucial as the last chance to actually get two people who can dance fo a competitive final. Another judge might be good cover if they have to get rid of the most popular one there as they are clearly hopeless at dancing.

It'l be better having Darcy added because Len will have less power !

I think the judges will vote in order they sit, not necessarily leaving Len last.
