Now I really enjoy watching the show on a Saturday, I find it enjoyable and exciting, but by the time I get to Sunday the excitement has gone and im just bored and want to see who gets the Boot

I know there are massive audience figures, so it must be a success, but I find it boring and a bit to American.

Also means that I often don't enjoy the show overall.

Let me know if you prefer it like this! or if you agree with me

Im not sure about it tbh.

Its okay, its much more of a welcome addition compared to the live audience at auditions, but I really hope its not this way for the final, which I want on a Saturday.

I agree with you - I preferred the results show on Saturday night. I find the Sunday show really boring and likewise just want to know who gets the boot by then.

I like the idea of the results on a Sunday giving people more time to vote, as many are out on a Saturday evening.

All the faffing about, though, and these guest performances get on my wick. I normally record it now and fast forward to the results. Then just dip into the sing off. So that's about ten minutes and it's all over for me.

I like it, wasn't too sure at first though. I luv the group performances.

ah you've got one of those ITV-only TVs have you? you should invest in one of these new-fangled telly things that can pick up allsorts of stuff.

I sky+ it which allows me to ff the very tedious "Mimed Group production" and all the inane posturing by the judges and simply get to the result.
I never bother to vote until the final because a) I resent buying another house for Cowell and b) If I voted throughout the series it would be a waste on someone I would never see/hear again........that's why I feel especially sorry for all the eggnog fans from last season.

I didn't like it at first but now it gives me something to look forward to on a Sunday. Rather than just waiting for the week to start.

I agree - am bored of the whole thing by Sunday - there was so much more suspense when the results were on a Saturday

This is a great point to make and I totally agree with you! I think that it is so much better all done on the Saturday night! I find that I look forward to the Sunday night results and then when it finishes I feel really cheesed off and miffed. I think that because it is all done and dusted in the 1 hour I actually feel quite cheated and everything seems so flat, whereas on a Saturday night we had the show that was nearly two hrs long and then about an hour later the results. I think that it was so much better all done on a Saturday! Lets hope that they change it back!

I do like the results on Sunday but nobody actually cares about the first 35 minutes. Just get on to the good stuff!

Exactly the word I was looking for, SUSPENSE. The suspense seems to be missing on a Sunday and it just seems so utterly flat! I always feel that there is something missing on a Sunday!

It annoys me tbh, I'd rather they just did it all on the Saturday like previous years.

Exactly how they are now doing the same with the voting for Jedward! What a total waste of money for the parents of all those teenage fans!

On the one hand it does make for a bit of Sunday night excitement. On the other I do miss the thrill of it all happening on one evening. Most of the Sunday show is about the guest artists (which means if you like them it's a good show and if they do nothing for you then you just want to fast forward to the results.) I think i'd prefer it all to be on the Saturday and have a 90 min and a 60 min show.

Im not against the Sunday show, like some have said it gives me something to do! it's just the way it is presented. One huge advert for past contestants or people who are trying to launch a comeback career.

Not to mention all the extra money they make from having the phone lines open for 24 hours.

I too always Sky+ X Factor as I just wouldn't watch it if I had to sit through all the adds and competition rubbish.

I can't help but wonder if the outcome of the results would be different if it was the same format as last year where you could only have a couple of hours to get your vote in.

I really don't like it this way but I guess it gives them more money and a better insight into how to manipulate the voters the following week.

I usually fast forward the dermot bits because he is really starting to vex me

It's boring. It's just a chance for more money to roll in and whatever act or buddy of the judges who wants to try to sell their latest project to come on that week.

I wouldn't have had a problem with the Sunday show if they'd tried to make it just a little bit more different than the results show last year ( and no, a group song, and a recap doesn't count as 'different' in my mind )

I think the the only reason it went to a Sunday's results show was to entice more stars to appear, and if I'm honest I couldn't give two hoots which stars are on......if I was that bothered about listening to Whitney, Robbie, Michael, Bonjovi etc I would have watched a music video channel.
