Just calculated that Danyl and J & E must have finished miles clear of the others ; the other 7 acts only had 35% of the vote between them meaning that the gap between Jedward and Olly in 2nd and 3rd must have been huge.Olly must have received than 10% of votes in this poll.

Heh, you gotta be dead quick in the journalism game.
An experienced journalist can have an article written, approved and published (with photos) on the website in ten minutes flat. I've seen 'em do it.
And that was for a small-time newspaper - I'm sure 'The Sun' is even more efficient.
But, that's the game they're in.

i dont think that would be accurate, the small numbers will exaggerate that. Im not saying its accurate at all i just found it interesting that the bottom 2 were there, and in the right order

I have known this guy years going back to Pop Idol, and he was very quick off the mark, he also had the help of the site I ran which at that time was the biggest site for Pop Idol on the internet, but do remember we are going back now some years... he asked me a couple of weeks back did I have any gossip and I said no, as although I have a site it is quiet as the people who help run it have all been off doing other things for a couple of years now. I will be telling him off though for not being as quick as the Sun, as he is on a national, so sleeping on a Monday is not on you know.. he should have been on the internet looking!!

The week 4 poll on this site had Danyl & John And Edward riding high, plus the bottom 2 was correct.
There are quite a few data points that corroborate the pattern of voting in this poll.
Personally, I'm inclined to believe it.
So, good for Danyl & the twins!

I can well believe these percentages Lisa.The Sun reported that Jedward topped the poll last week 'by a huge margin' and we know Danyl was bottom 2.If this poll and The Sun article are correct,J & E must have a very big fan base.
I'm still baffled how Danyl went bottom 2 last week though
Lisa I think you are going to find it is going to be fairly close to accurate, it is alot of people to take into account, and if it were a 100 and not people phoning in and voting but polling on some day time TV show I would say okay maybe not, but these people are actually placing a vote for the act.
I think even Eurostar thinks it is close to the truth. I bet Simon is livid.. he never wanted this loop hole site to go ahead.. ha ha... cost me nothing to vote either..

Everything now points to The Sun article last week being correct.In that case,J & E are consistently polling 30% or 35% of the vote each week.Fair play to Danyl for his comeback too

So am I Eurostar, that is one thing that is really making me wonder what the hell went wrong.. and as you say Jedward must have had a huge amount of the vote that week. They do have a fan base and they could win this... and this weeks figures are backing that up now are they not..
I still dont get why Danyl fell so far down, what did he do that week to get hardly any votes, it makes no sense, I am still trying to find if they have printed the votes on Martins site for week one and two, if not I will email admin over there and ask why not, or the editor who wrote the article on this weeks figures.. as I say Simon will hate this as it til now was not just tweenies that knew about it, it was on the Sky News channel and their online site as well as Martins, which is not aimed at tweenies.

It's possible Danyl polled well for three out of the four weeks,but for some unknown reason,people deserted him last week.I do think he may have benefitted from something of a sympathy vote on Saturday,as he looked very unhappy.That and his usual fan base could easily lift him over 30%

Do you know Cypher I have liked the twins for their sheer determination to just get out there regardless of the bad press, and I know Louis is an excellent mentor and believe me he will have told them you are at the top now stay there.. what we have to hope is that Louis's plea for people to vote for Danyl were not Jedward voters also if you get my meaning ... they may not be so inclined to do that now!
I think the shock is those so close to the bottom this week, people will be shocked as I am sure so many think Stacey has this in the bag.. which that does not show at all.

Yes what great headlines, bash them and people WILL vote.. but that said I want the bashing to stop for them both it is inhumane to treat people with such little respect or regard for their feelings and those of their families, hell it is not a war, it is an entertainment show...

It may have been a simple case of everyone assuming Danyl was safe as houses GG.Simon told him he was 'in a different league to everyone else' that night and maybe many people decided they didn't need to vote for him and that they'd vote for someone who looked like they were at risk.
As for J & E's votes,Simon would have a heart attack if he saw the poll at the start of this thread

Yup, and I think that says a lot.
Over and above the scope of the show, I can't help feeling that the voting patterns reflect a fundamental *rejection* of the way that the press conducts itself at times, and a rejection of the hate campaigns that are waged continually on the internet.
Say what you like about the public, but I'm optimistic enough to believe that there is an underlying streak of decency there, that folk don't really find all this nastiness acceptable, and are actively rebelling against it.

You could be right stupid silly man, unless he dont want Danyl to win this, he said that to Sam Nixon that night as well, and to top it slagged off Mark Rhodes, so I split my votes as did many others, and what happened my boy went home I was gutted beyond belief I had and still have a site for the lad, we could not believe it...

I think you are both right, I do not think the majority of the public like to see anyone branded as worse than Hitler, that remark I think alone shocked the hell out of normal everyday people. It is not even funny to say it was a joke as no one should stoop so low as to even think you can joke in that manner.
I also think their are mums like me who hate the way the twins have been booed on that stage, unless Louis cleverly got in the heavy mob to do it, as he knows people will rebel against that type of behaviour he is not stupid...
but I am sure he is also not that daft... As Lisa said I can now go to bed alot happier than I was on here earlier... which reminds me look at the bloody time..whoops again.. work tomorrow with bags under my eyes.
Oh and I hate bullying as have been on the end of it, and it is soul destroying.
