What on earth will the bookies make of this I wonder?”

Cowell seems to have lost the plot this year

As for the bookies, they have already reacted by slashing Jedward's price in the wake of The Sun article, and their odds were continuing to drop even today.

One of the most interesting things for me from this poll is that Olly may not be polling as well as people think and as such, may be a weak favourite.

IF that is the case on Ollie is that then good for the bookies?

He does seem to have lost the plot, he obviously thought the twins would last til this week JUST and then be gone home now what I do not want to see and would campaign against is the twins withdrawing from this, and Simon does not even want to go there, as I think the backlash would be worse than even he could imagine.

I don't think the bookies are bothered whether Olly wins or not,but I've read that a win for Jedward would cost them millions of pounds

I'm intrigued to know if Cowell is actually aware of the voting ; I've heard some conspiracy theorists suggest he actually wants the twins to go far in the competition (but not win surely)

Have you seen the post all betting on the bottom two with J&E suspended and all voting on all bottom two suspended by two bookies already, people are reading into that that J&E are leaving the show, how wrong can they be, the bookies know they are not bottom and with the release of those figures could get burned on the bottom two each week.. hilarious..

My god I had not really thought about it but the odds were crazy should have had a tenner on them, I very nearly did, and thought do not be so stupid woman...

I cannot see linking to those sites how you tell jack shite to be honest just looked and thought well that tells me nothing, but that guy has said all major bookies and given two links to check them out on...

Seems news travels very fast, do you reckon Sinetta on on the blower now to Simon telling him the news!

The twins are going nowhere! They seem to be having a whale of a time on the show

Why have the bookies taken off all bet for bottom two placings do you think, cos these figures give an indication into who will be there or could more than likely be there and not exactly who people thought? I imagine they were making money on people putting twins in the bottom two.. ha ha.. hilarious all round, burned bookies and burned Simon that is poetic!

I've been going nuts on the betting whilst everyone's still asleep :| Joe to be evicted, Danyl to win, Twins to win, Stacey not to win etc etc.

Wouldn't be surprised if this had a reasonable impact on the odds

What a laugh it is to see you lot who refuse to believe a word against Danyl in the red-tops come to Jesus when the word is good.

Does anyone really believe that Rachel would be bottom two three weeks out of four and top vote getter the remaining week? Is there any precedent for this in previous seasons?

The Sun and Mirror are as reliable regarding vote totals as they are on the topic of nits—which do not thrive in greasy quiffs.

I dont believe Danyl topped the poll for a second. Yes 10,000 is a large test group but it depends on who visits that website and who rang up. I would predict that the type of people who vote for Joe and Stacey (mainly teenage girls) might not have heard of this website and dare i say it 'web geeks ' would be the most likely voters.

Betfair have Olly fav to win with Joe in second, Stacey, Lucie, Danyl, Jedward, Jamie, Lloyd. I predict a Jamie and Lloyd bottom two this week, with possibly Danyl in the mix.

The Sun never claimed that Rachel topped the poll last week ; they said it was J & E who ran away with it.

The Daily Star came out with a rival story on Friday claiming that Jedward hadn't topped the poll but instead Rachel had,and that the twins only escaped the sing off by 0.5%.

The Star's version was hogwash ; there's no way Rachel was bottom 2,bottom 2,first and then last in four consecutive weeks.

Why do people vote out of sympathy (I know they do) will they buy his records out of sympathy too? Of course not

hey, why shouldnt i post something nice for us for a change. If it had shown Danyl near the bottom and Stacey at the tpo then Stacey supporters would have posted and been happy. I said right at the start that accuracy is suspect just thought id post it as Danyl usually gets bashed on here so its nice to have something posisive for a change

It is clear that dedicated fanbases of a few acts are using this loophole in voting to mass phone for their favourite which is borderline unfair on people who are paying to vote for their own favourite. Obviously it wont make much of a difference in the overall voting but I do wonder how Cowell would feel if his favourite wasnt at the top this week. It may also be giving an inaccurate representation of the total vote if a broad section of the public are unaware of this service and I imagine certain groups of people could abuse the free phonecalls for their own betting needs.
I also think this is where The Sun is getting their so called reliable leaks from but it isnt really an accurate representation of who most people are paying to vote for.

Can you change the subject line? It's misleading to suggest this is a poll.

Sounds like the shock factor of the fave being in the bottom 2 has worked for Danyl - no act has ever won since being in the bottom 2 but i think danyl could break that trend, he is probably now the most talked about contestant this year, he is dividing opinion and he is keeping the show interesting - the think with J&E is Eoghan last year topped or was second in near enough all the weeks then in the semi's he was only a few percent off being voted off and then he went first in the final - the more the show goes on and the less acts their are too vote for that is when they will struggle, looking at this it is very likely simon will have two acts in the final. I'm suprised at Stacey being so low but not at Joe he isn't interesting and i don't remember him after he has performed and he is hardly ever mentioned in the press or on any of the other tv shows that talk about the x factor.

It looks like Joe and Stacey aren't safe, I can't believe it and I really would've thought Stacey was more popular than Lucie.

There is a great deal of blandness this year and the only two acts that seem to be getting people engaged in XF are Jedward and Danyl.

On another thread people predicting a Joe, Stacey and Olly final - god that would send me to sleep, but Jedward, Danyl and Olly would be interesting.
