Here's something really interesting about J & E

All major bookmakers have removed J & E from the bottom two combo betting and all betting on the bottom two has been suspended.

This can only mean that something has happened with them - either they're not singing this week or they're leaving!

Or of course they are now topping the show which if you look around here you will find they are polling second this week, if on that they are forced to withdraw I think the public outcry will shock Mr Cowell...

Also with the revelation on Martin Lewis's site the bottom two are not who anyone thinks they are, ie the ones who were so close Saturday were thought to be high up there, so I think the bookies have stopped it or they are going to get burned by the public voting and getting it right...

Not so. Betfair has odds on J&E in combo with all other contestants. Betfair and three other bookies including Ladbrokes have odds on the bottom two excluding J&E, with Lloyd/Danyl and Lloyd/Jamie lowest at 7/2.

I doubt very much that the "revelation" on the Martin Lewis site is taken seriously by anyone but Danyl fans.

There's no way J&E would withdraw from the competition John Sergeant-style (and in my opinion no reason why they should). The programme's makers know that they're a huge draw now for viewers - even people who can't stand them tune in to see them for "car crash TV" reasons.

If a bookmaker has changed the betting rules it'll be to do with how much money they fear they might lose.

I don't think they can say John Sargeant set a precident as SCD is for charity. The acts on XF are doing it for personal gain i.e. recording contract. John Sargeant had nothing to lose by leaving the show, the twins would have everything they had entered the show for, to lose

It wasn't for charity last year.

From BBC web site:
Since January 2008, the BBC no longer gives money raised by phone votes to charity. The money raised by Strictly Come Dancing phone votes pays for running the phone vote system itself. No money goes to Children in Need. Rules were changed after last year's phone votes scandals.

Do you have a link for the Martin Lewis story as I had a quick look on the site and couldn't see anything, thanks.

But bear in mind these figures are only from the one website that enables free (?) voting, not from all votes cast overall.

May be representative, maybe not...
