I don't know why people don't like Danyl, he is a brilliant singer, an entertainer, he has the whole package, yet he ends up in the bottom two, then there is J & E and they have nothing and people love them.

Don't people recognise talent when they see it?

Obviously not OP, but I don't think anything is likely to change that now.

I have had endless discussions with people on the likeability or not of Danyl, I think most have pretty much decided now.

I, personally, think he is great. I hope he at least lasts a few more weeks. He will need to perform better than last week to achieve that, but I think last week was an exception and I hope to see him back with full confidence this week.

Its time to get back to the singing and entertainment now I think.

Well, if people keep saying it it becomes true, doesn't it?
But in my own experience people say they are not that keen on him but nearly always concede that he is the best singer.
I have replied to another post this morning saying just this, his only hope now is to forget trying to make people like him, he needs to make people respect his talent .
And I believe from talking to others that he can still do that.

Let's face it though he's never going to be likened to a basket of fluffy kittens.

It baffles me that anyone still has to ask that question.

Anyway, likeable or dislikeable, he is far from the best singer and saying that he is has to be one of the best punchlines I've ever heard. It's a sad state of affairs when someone who consistently sings out of tune, has yet to sing just one song without hitting a duff note and has such little tunefulness in their tone that any attempt at power is a shout is considered the best singer.

i just don't like the way he sings out of tune for the majority of the song and then shouts the last note every performance. I don't really mind the guy himself.

I really will never understand this need to have everyone like the same singer.

Can people not just agree that opinions will differ & just get on with it or is that too much to ask?

If Danyl had a mind blowing week with a phenomenal song and superb vocals - would the 'haters' change their mind?

I am a fan and can't see where the negative vibes come from, but I have changed my opinion of some of the others as the week's go on - good and bad.

People, forget he is the Danyl you have been reading about and judge his performance with fresh eyes and an open mind

PS I follow my own advice every week and only rated Danyl 4th on Sat after Olly, Lucie and Stacey!

Alot of people do, I think he's fantastic and watch the show only to see him.

Probably because there's now about 85 topics here saying "Why don't people like Danyl?" So we all keep reading them and thinking "Man, people must realy hate him if all these topics need to be created".

If only people would do that, we would have a true winner.

I liked Olly and Lucie best on Saturday. I loved the second half of Danyl's song. I also enjoyed Joe and Jamie.

Personally if Danyl were to have a week when he actually sang a whole song in tune, never mind a mindblowing week, I wouldn't be able to vote for anyone because it would take two days to recover from the shock.

I think his got a good voice. But there is something about him I just can't connect with. I don't hate him just don't like him that much.

I get a bit bored with the big shout out notes at the end of every song he does.

Starting a thread to berate and insult people for not liking a particular contestant is a sure way to get negative responses imo.

I don't like Danyl and I don't need to justify why not.

I don't have a favourite on the Show because I only watch it as a bit of light entertainment on a Saturday evening.

I think Danyl has a decent voice but I don't care for his style of singing myself. I think he oversings and over performs quite often and it comes over as rather desperate.

As to the likeability aspect, there is something about him that I find offputting on a personal level. It's difficult to shift that perception once it's established and, of course, Louis didn't help at all by saying 'you're just not likeable' and 'you haven't won the competition yet'.

I will. His voice does nothing for me, I find it unpleasant to listen to, and that's before any duff notes.

I actually think he is one of the best singers on the show. TBH, I never really noticed any arrogance from him until some of the judges pointed it out to him on the show. I honestly think the guy cant win. If he shows confidence, he's arrogant, if he shows emotion, oh he cant deal with criticism. FGS his confidence has been rocked and I only hope he builds himself up again and matures with it all. He just has to learn to take on board any constructive criticism and ignore all the nasty comments.

I have disliked him from the start. All those tears and rubbish.

Don't care if he can sing, don't care if he is a bully, don't care that his mum loves him, he is still annoying to me, and obviously lots of other people think so too.

Hope this is his final week, so I don't have to take his inevitable shouting long note at the end of his dull and predictable performance.

Im not a fan of Danyl, At all, but there was a tweeter last night who was attacking everyone even Danyl. He isn't that bad.

i dont see where the OP has berated or insulted anyone.. they asked a valid question...

i dont like Danyl..and i really dont know why? he has an ok voice..he is way better than some others in there..yet he just does nothing for me... i dont read newspapers so i cant say its bad press.. he comes across a tad to confident for me so maybe thats why i dont like him... yet i love afro who is also confident..as a rock style singer you have to have that personna to include the audience and to look confident..so now ive just contradicted myself lol ..
so i cant give a vadid reason why i dont like him..i just dont!
