It's pretty rare for a pilot to be shown unless it goes to series, except when it's done as a tv movie or a "backdoor" pilot, which is when it's done as an episode of another show (imagine it as if the BBC wanted to do a show about the first station on Mars, so Waters of Mars was used to introduce the characters and of course with a different ending)
Production schedules are much faster in the United States. David would shoot 22 episodes of Rex in less time than 13 Doctor Whos.”
Heres hopeing it's the full series then and that it does well!
Hope if it's happening we get to see Rex in the UK -hopefully the bbc might show it -or Channel4/E4/Five/Sky1/Watch/Virgin/Living theres actually quite a few channels there thinking about it -good chance Rex will get a UK home if the series is commissioned I think..

And they will blame DT should that happen, michelle ryan was blamed for the awfull Bionic Woman remake and all its problems and i fear DT will suffer the same fate, if it had been say on ABC/NBC then i would have given its chances of at least getting a short run of 8 episode 9/10 but NBC are involved and that says it all really.”
The shows premise sounds good to me -we'll see a whole bunch of co-stars for David and i've yet to see the man not be brilliant with his co-stars in shows where he's one of the lead characters.
Casanova,Takin over the asylum,Learners,Recovery,Doctor Who,Secret Smile,Blackpool-for sure we'll add Hamlet after it's airing on bbc2 this Christmas also ... Every one of them brilliant chemistry with all his co stars.Even Einstein and Eddington where Tennant and Serkis only meet onscreen for a brief brilliant scene -the chemistry is still there throughout the whole show as the two men compliment each other so beautifully ..
Hopefully Rex will do well -theres no guarantees of course but the cast does look great -just needs the scripts to be strong and David says they are

.We're not even sure a series has been commissioned yet so lets just wait and see -anyway sounds like NBC is due a hit and given David's record maybe Rex is the one

.
I wonder if it's comissioned will they drop the 'is not your lawyer' from the title -everyone is going to think of the show as 'Rex' if it happens anyway ..
