Do you think there is any act this year that the producers/Simon want to win ?

I think there could be but it's not being made as obvious. I think there using what happened with Alexandra with one of them.

If there is a favourite .. I think it's

Spoiler
Olly

Not sure it will work though (if that is the case).

What do you guys think ? Is there a favourite this year ?

Alexandra was the most talented singer last year and underrated until the end. A lot of people who know the industry, thought she was going to win from the start.

I would say that Danyl is the producer's favourite, but Olly has taken over from him because he's become increasingly good. I also think John and Edward are two of the producer's faves.

I think they wanted a winner outside of the boy/girl 16 - 24 category that has triumphed every year since series 1. They knew the chances of that happening with a group was weak.....so that left the overs. I do think that Simon picked the three because he knew all three had a good chance of winning. I honestly don't think he has a preference over any of them. Yes he has dished out some over the top praise to Danyl, but I think that has had more to do with the negative media than anything else.

Of course the judges probably have personal favourites......but that only makes them human. I thought series 3 was a bit one sided, and I thought Diana was overrated by the judges last year....but apart from that I've never seen this 'chosen one' thing that comes up every single year.

I think Danyl was meant to be The One, but they have been forced to accept that he is not the viewers' choice and, as a result, have promoted Olly to The One-ness.

I agree with this. I think Simon switched allegiance pretty smartly when it became apparent the public weren't taking to Danyl for some reason. There's also the fact that Olly has been steadily improving as the weeks have gone by.

Agree with this, I think that they definitely want a male winner this time - although I don't think it has to be someone in the Overs.

I think Simon would be happy with any of his three winning, although it's looking increasingly unlikely that that will be Danyl. I also think (although he's not going to say this on live TV) he'd be perfectly happy with Joe, too.

I don't think Simon has switched allegiance at all.
