Far from being horrified by the twins rendition of We Will Rock You,he actually enjoyed it ; "They sang it and gave it all of their energy and,as far as I can see,it was a good production.....and damn good luck to them."

Simon said it's going to ruin [Queen's] career, but I think our career's safe. Simon, we're all right. We can stand it. It's because people do our stuff that we celebrate. Why would we complain”- Brian May

So much for Simon Cowell’s - Singing Queen out of tune, possibly destroying Queen's career forever” remarks- it was a fairly ridiculously over the top comment to begin with- but glad Brian May pulled him up on it- was really nice what Brian said about the Twins

Doesn't surprise me in the least.

This was supposed to be 'rock' week, and, at least based on all the rock concerts I've ever been to (Faith No More, Green Day, REM, Skunk Anansie, Radiohead etc...), 'rock' is all about high-octane, energetic performances that create an atmosphere and get the crowd bouncing.

And, yet, folk were judging it like they would a Leona Lewis ballad!!!

Square shape, round hole if you ask me, and it's amazing that it takes a rock god like Brian May to point that out to everyone.

And good for him! The reality is that the twins were the only thing that felt remotely like 'rock' last week.

Regards,

Cypher

Well, it's a Queen song so that was expected I guess.

Maybe JEdward are the new nations sweethearts?
