Where to watch past series of Strictly online?

Hello all. My first time posting here.

I's never watched Strictly before until this year and I'm loving it. I've been curious to watch past series online but can only find the dances themselves. Is there anywhere I can watch the whole shows as I don't want to watch just the dances. Part of my enjoyment is seeing the judges comments, the chat with Tess and Bruce's intros and the professional dances aswell. Just adds to the whole atmosphere IMO.

I'm relatively unspoiled (only know the winners but that's about it, don't really know exactly when people went out etc) and I'm curious to see what the past series were like (I've heard this year's is a bit of a dud).

Anybody know any places that have the shows? I know the BBC have allowed past series of the Apprentice and Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe on youtube so I know it's not completely out of the question.

Hi Cool Beans and congratulations on your first post

Unfortunately, the Beeb have taken a lot of dances from previous series off YouTube recently

I don't think the entire shows were ever available there either, but you might be able to purchase them on DVD (highlights at least).

Hope someone can give you a more definite answer.

There is a BBC DVD of highlights from series 6, but I don't know whether they produced a DVD for previous series.

Have you tried the BBC website?

This is the first year that the BBC have produced a DVD (of Series 6). And it won't be the whole series, just edited highlights. Sadly the BBC got all the clips of previous series taken down last year which was devastating to those of us who hadn't got round to downloading them!

The only hope is that eventually Watch might start showing the whole set of series again.

I'm sure they'll end up showing them again. Channels such as Watch do tend to cycle round quite a lot.

It was great watching series 6 again in the weeks leading up to this current series starting on BBC.

if you're able to register to the site (they stop registration if there's too many members), you can download past series (1, 5 and 6 atm) using a bit torrent client

Thanks for the recommendation, although I was kinda hoping for a site I could just stream it from rather then have to download it. I am tempted to join though.

I don't know of any site you can stream it from and this question comes up regularly. Now and again a member will mention they have a complete series on DVD and will copy it for a small charge, but I've not seen that happen recently. Your best bet is download torrents as they are available from lots of sites without needing to register. You can even download a complete series rather than individual episodes. To avoid problems, try and pick files with as many seeds and leeches as you can and read any comments available.
