The way public vote this saturday or any nasty comment to the worst performers could we see the Two best couple in the Dance-Off again will the Judges critisize the public again for our choices of who want to see next week

And could we we see one of the 'bad' performers win the competition this year

Ricky W and Ali in the dance off........judges explode........all good TV for the BBC boosts the ratings and they are happy......only people not happy Ricky W and Ali fans.....

Dont think it will happen myself but I could see one of them being there.

As Craig RH has already said (twice) the judges are there to judge the dance, the public have 50% of the vote and vote on favourites/dance or whatever. And he has said that is fine, those are the rules. But he has also said that the judges are also free to pass an opinion (and I don't see it as moaning, just passing a firmly-held opinion) when they see good dancers going out (as that is against what they are supposedly looking for).

I can certainly see this scenario happening again this weekend if the Judges don't "restrain" their comments. I had a feeling it was going to happen last weekend and I said to more than a few people earlier this week, I thought the public hadn't finished having their say - and I think the judges comments during the DO last weekend will not have helped the situation.

It depends who is top but I wouldn't put it past being a Ricky W/Jade/Ali dance off.

Its like a tug of war between the public and judges (with the celeb/pro couples caught in the middle... and because the judges have the final say, I can see the public voting accordingly!

Tess, every week, goodness knows how many times, says, 'vote for your favourite coople'. She never says vote for the ones you judge to be the best dancers.

So the instructions are quite clear.

It is quite possible to see a couple who are the best (or amongst the best) dancers as your favourite (especially if you view things from a dance perspective). To me, my favourite on any particular Saturday is the couple that has produced what to me looked like a good dance, with good choreography, and who are entertaining in the way that they performed. Personalities/looks do come into it, but are behind the dance aspects. Maybe other members of the public see it that way as well.

Anyhow, I'm sure that the great voting public have a mind of their own and are not necessarily led by what Tess states.

Indeed some others may, and some might not.

My daughter's favourite of the week is whichever lady is dressed in pink.

And this story won't help the situation with regard to Jade

Very true. Which just goes to show that the word "favourite" can have many connotations, depending upon your viewpoint and what you are looking for in the programme.

I should imagine that both Ricky and Ali (and their dance partners) would not be too happy either!

Kay Bee is right! You can't blame the public for saving their favourite personalities when week after week that's exactly what Tess urges them to do! She even uses thre phrase "Save your favourtes". Come on BBC get Tess to encourage us to focus on how good the performances are. Some may be more likeable than others, the less able may yearn to stay in as much as the talented but that is not the point. The show is a dance competition and in competition the object is to find the best. Tess needs to ask people to vote for the celebrities whose PERFORMANCE they enjoyed the most. Vote for the best dancer on the night and maybe give an award for the public's first choice each week. Alternatively ask the public to vote for the ones they think should NOT be saved. Either way the public and judges would be working to the same criteria not two different sets of rules. The differing criteria for judging between judges and public leaves everyone feeling let down and disappointed. The BBC above all should know that good direction produces a quality product so come on. Get Tess to ask us to vote for the ones we thought best (or worst) so we get back to a really entertaining, quality TV dance competition and leave the personality stakes to the likes of "I'm a Celebrity".

My viewpoint is also valid though, for the reasons that i have explained.
