Having successfully retuned my LG flatscreen TV, as required by the switching off of the analogue signal from Winter Hill, and managing to retain all the original number/channel settings, I turned my attention to the Humax. Going into Installation- Automatic Search, all the stations seem to have been successfully stored, again with the correct button numbers, except for BBC1 and BBC2. I tried using Edit Channels and Favourites, but this didn't seem to make any difference, information onscreen suggested "Channel not available", or something similar. The missing programmes do appear to be available on channels 804/805 (or something lsimilar). Can anyone suggest what I can do to resolve this problem, please.

Factory reset and do a clean scan, I had the same sort of thing when I retuned last month so I suspect the solution is the same.

If that doesn't work then ask again in the Terrestrial/Freeview forum

A PS to the above: when I press buttons one or two on the Humax remote control, a panel showing the relevant programme info appears onscreen eg. for button 2 - "BBC 2. Charlie and Lola", and the channel info (BBC1 or BBC2) appears on the Humax LCD display panel.

Be aware a Factory Reset may delete all recordings (not sure as I haven't tried that on my Humax)

A safer option is to go into the menus and select the Edit Channel List option. Delete all channels both TV and Radio. Then do a retune.

My 9150 screwed up royally on just a simple retune and the above is what I had to do to sort it out. I would imagine the 9200 is fairly similar.

A factory reset will not delete any recordings only a disc format can do that. It will delete any recording reservations you may have so make a note of these and also any changes you have made to the default settings

That seems to have done the trick, thanks Jarrak.

How do you do a factory reset. Does it reload the original firmware as well?

Just sorted out my problem and it was----------
Menu> Installation>Default Setting

Not sure how far back the reset goes but it leaves your recordings on the hard disc.

A reset retains the last installed firmware. It's good practice anyway to do a reset after a new firmware is installed.
