My friend from Canada. Whenever I text him I use his +1 number and he gets them fine. On his phone they appear as mine number (+447734). On his old network he could never text back as it wouldnt ever get to me.

However he recently joined the koodo network. I text him from my phone to his new +1 and again it came up as my number (+44). However, when he replied it came from a british number +4476. I tried texting him back on the british number and he got it fine.

I have unlimited texting on Orange and Im assuming, as its a british number, its now going to be free. Does anybody know whats going on? Is this just a temp thing? I tried phoning and a british recorded message said "this is a text only service".

Any insight anyone?
