Free included texts on 3
Just interested. Are the free texts with every top-up on 3 for national use only or can they be used to text say the USA for free? There doesn't seem to be info on what they can be used for on the website.
I switched to 3 over a week ago and have had no trouble what so ever, infact I haven't spent any credit yet... with Vodafone my credit didn't last a week. I'm loving the free included 150MB Data allowance and the free MSN... not used skype yet and not sure I will. With Vodafone data was 50p a day and you only got 25MB the tight fisted *replace with chosen profanity here*. Calls on Vodafone seemed really expensive too, a call of a few minutes seemed to eat a large chunk of a £10 top-up. |

The free texts are for national use only, although to be fair you are sort of right - the website doesn't appear to explicitly state this either way (referring you to the price guide instead for further information i.e. international call and text pricing, out of bundle pricing etc.). The closest answer I could find online was this: http://www.three.co.uk/Pay_As_You_Go/What_it_costs which you've probably read already.
Oh, while I'm here - welcome to 3. I'm with you on loving the free data and IM

I found this after a LOT of searching:
http://www.three.co.uk/Help_Support/...=1214306357859 you select the location to call to and it tells you all the details... 25p/text to the USA. IMO that is fair, 3 have to make cash somewhere although 25p to the US per text does seem a little steep... but I think vodafone was at 50p a text or something and £1 minute calling. |
