To be honest, I hate his voice. It sounds like he is singing through his nose, and he is off key most of the time apart from his big long money notes (:yawn

I totally agree! And I don't even mind him as a person. He is so overrated.

He sings out of tune quite a bit. Very off putting if you were to go to a concert.

hes one of the worst imo.....ive been saying it lately that he sings through his noes and is out of tune and bad at the songs until he starts screaming for 20 seconds

If you think Danyl is off keep most of the time, perhaps it says a lot about your hearing as far as music is concerned. Last week he claimed he could not hear the music clearly and I accept it was the chorus before he got on key.

The sound on X Factor more so on TV and even in the studio this season has been disgusting.

Now we wait for the next thread to attack Danyl, what topic about him is wrong???

He certainly has a powerful voice but he needs to sort out his tuning issues.

it's ok until he goes for the really big notes. he never sounds in tune with them really

When he's good, he's very very good - Week one and two.

When he's ok, he's average - week three

When he's bad, its bad - week four, although he pulled it back in the second half of the song.

Some tuning issues, but mostly he does very well. I love his voice and performances and am a big fan.

Best voice in the competition? Yes, when he's on it. However, this can also be said of some of the others. It varies week to week. Only Joe has been consistent, and only Olly can be said to be getting better and better.

Thats my honest opinion at the moment.

Each performance of his I've seen so far has been ululation without end.

I think like Lizzy when he is good he is very very good. He is my fav to win, and I like him and his voice, however I would also like to see him sing a song with NO big money note as I think maybe then people would appreciate him a bit more.

On Joe, no sorry he was excellent when he did Dance with My Father, in fact he was one of my favs, since then he has just become bland. And CC bigging him up as her little bro made me want to throw up.

What may be ululation to your ears to others is a singer who has good vocal ability.

If you enjoy basic singing by numbers then there are plentyof those to choose to listen to on X-Factor.

I go for a singer who has the potential to be adventurous vocally and put their own stamp on a tune personally.

Danyl always excites me, both vocally and as a perfomer. He's the only one who does this year

I think you're getting Danyl mixed up with Lucie, Joe or Lloyd.

He can't be that boring otherwise there wouldn't be so much posted on DS forums about him.

Like him or not, he generates plenty of reaction.

If he WAS boring he would just be ignored as subject matter for these forums.

personally i dont think that danyl has that great a voice, im not saying he cant sing though! i just dont think that he is the best in the competition, in my opinion lucie, joe, stacey, and olly are all better singers! he can be a very good performer though!!

Especially Lloyd. He reminds me of one of those cabbage patch dolls. All flat and empty behind the eyes.

To be honest just having a good voice isn't the be all and end all. You have to have some extra spark beyond that.

Vocal ability is important but some of the great performers may not have the best voices but they do have that something that makes the difference.

There are loads of singers out there who are vocally good, the problem is they aren't marketable based just on that.
