They may possess some of the above qualities, but what the show really sets out to do is find a recording artist that is current and marketable: Leona, Alexandra, JLS.
I don't feel any of the above are marketable, maybe Olly at a push, even though he just reminds me of a Stars in Your Eyes version of Will Young.
Joe is by far the least marketable. Yes he has a very good voice and appears to be a genuine guy. However, how would they sell him as a recording artist? He's a young camp boy that's good at singing pop music. There's no demand for pop music, nor does he have the stunning looks that encourages people to often look beyond talent.
As for Stacey he poor vocals for 2 weeks in a row now, shows she is a bad one-trick pony. Why has no-one demanded she sings an uptempo number yet?
Lucie is my top choice for contestant with the X-Factor. She is current, likeable and has an amazing voice.”
CURRENT AND MARKETABLE?!?!? You seriously think Lucie is current and marketable?!?! and do you know the meaning of marketable?!?! are you using the term from the perception of a record buyer or from a viepoint of the marketing world??? Lucie is good but there are other millions of acts at the moment better than her and will eat her when it comes to performance.... she is in the league where competition is tough... pixie lott, katie perry, even leona and alexandra, cheryl cole.... so looking at it in a proper marketable view.... she isnt ideal to win....
id say olly or joe when it comes to versatility... stacye for the unique personality with talent that will shine in her own league....danyl is also good vocally.... i can actually see jedward selling more albums than lucie...
