When it comes to bashing Susan Boyle for her looks people like Sharon just jump on board wrapped in self righteousness, like they have the god given right somehow because others do it. It's not right!

Of course there's no difference at all between an unknown person typing out such things on a text-only message board and a public figure saying them in front of cameras knowing full well they will make headlines.

I agree. Cheryl Cole has an incredibly spiteful side to her. She was acting like a sulky little kid when she was sitting by Simon last weekend and even mouthed "F*** off" to him at one stage. I also don't like her attitude towards Danyl one little bit. Very unprofessional.

Exactly, before her descent into surgery Sharon Osbourne was fat, she was ugly and even on a good day back then looked like Susan Boyles arse.

Sharon used to be my fave XF judge. But after watching her rant about Danni on The Graham Norton show a few years back I went right off her.

Cheryl Cole would have been forgotten if she wasn't stunning due to her average voice.

Susan Boyle is just the other way around, and has every right to be successful based on the same two criteria.

In both cases looks have helped. Who should say one has a right to be successful and the other doesn't?

I used to really love Sharon and am usually one of her biggest defenders on here, but it's getting very difficult to even like her now. This is just nastiness for the sake of it,Susan is very talented and while she isn't the prettiest person out there, it's not like she's hideous either. And Sharon wasn't exactly the nicest-looking person herself before all her surgery.

Did she?! I didn't see that. I don't like Cheryl as a judge on X Factor at all. She's done nothing to make me warm to her. I liked her at the audition stage of last year, but she played on the doe eyes, tears and "compassion" thing so much that now it just looks false, forced and basically a good way to get liked and to get votes in for her acts. She really does have a spiteful streak to her.

I totally agree with that. I really liked her last year, she seemed really lovely and had a real caring side to her but that's totally disappeared for me this year I've seen nothing nice about her at all, only spite and sulkiness (lol is that even a word?)

It does seem to be she has changed. Maybe it is because she does not have the winner amongst her acts.

As Billy Connolly once famously said " ... beauty is only skin deep, but ugly is right down to the f***ing bone." Fitting, to a degree, really for someone like Osborne.
