I have just installed a Panasonic 50" plasma, TX-P50V10B. I have a Sky+HD Box and Panasonic BluRay connected via HDMI leads.

Despite having sync'd the SKY remote to turn the TV on, and having selected AV as the PowerOn preference channel in the set up menu, when the TV is turned on it automatically searches for a (built-in but not in use) FREESAT signal, which it won’t be able to find.

I then have to use the Panasonic TV remote to switch it over to AV.

Does anyone know another way to set it up so that Sky+HD comes on automatically when the TV is switched on?

Thanks

The other simple answer of course is to turn the Sky box on before the TV & it will go straight to Sky Personally I press TV & on on the Sky remote followed immediately by Sky & they both come on together, Simples.

Assuming Sky is plugged into HDMI 1 which is the only Auto sense one

Problem solved.

The SKY box has to be the HDMI1 port to work in PowerOn Preference AV mode

Thanks
