Technically she's won two - she also won Best New UK & Ireland Act.

i think it might mean the artist who has been 'pushed' most by labels.

The one who has had most coverage and has managed to get loads of column inches etc.

For that reason she should have one, she's been everywhere.

I do find the ema's weird tho as pixie as had very limited success in the UK and that's about it.

She hasn't had success in any other country, so why win an Europe music award?

No it wasn't.
It was announced she'd won the regional voting for Uk and ireland act, not push.

Don't see what a group who had a minor chart hit with "Universal Nation" in 1999 has got to do with the MTV Awards.

the 'Push Artist' category is new this year, it's supposedly 'for acts championed by MTV.' no idea what constitutes a nomination or an award for it though.

either way, nice for a uk artist to win an award

I wouldn't call 2 number ones from your first 2 official singles 'very limited success'.

She hasn't backed that up with the all important album sales.

I would call, selling 50k albums in 8 weeks in quarter 4(the busiest and most profitable for the industry) after having 2 'number 1' singles absolutely awful.

Her album has not performed well at all and she has done absolutely nothing anywhere else.

It's quite ironic that these days you can win a EUROPEAN music award when nobody in Europe knows who you are.

All I'm doing is pointing out facts. If you don't like them then don't read my posts.

The thing about this forum is it allows people to post their opinions on things, just because mine differ from yours it doesn't mean you are better than me.

Agreed. And not that you seem to care anyways, but don't let the 13 year olds trying to belittle your fair and objective opinion bother you. They just can't see past the blonde hair, heavy make up and hot pants

No idea what "Push Artist" means but I think White Lies deserved an award.
