to read people who don't even know you taking personal shots at you must be very difficult but most of these haters are just unhappy so when they write such spiteful words Danyl should just ignore them because it's of no value and shouldn't be responded to otherwise it indicates that he does think their opinions matter when they shouldn't.

They've got each other for support. Danyl is on his own. It must be so hard to take constant abuse from deranged strangers. At least Danyl knows he has his fans on his side and we've been doing our best to support him.

Well I'll cut Danyl some slack in choosing to reply to that idiot in a measured way on Twitter. As a contestant on XF you have to sign so much of yourself away, toe the party line, sing what your told to sing in a way they want you to sing...to cut loose and choose to do something yourself the odd time is OK and understandable by me.

With reference to SC giving up on him ;I don't think that all. This is publicity which if picked up by the papers ,which it will ,as it is on DS and the papers are always looking through DS.

SC knows that people are going to sympathise with Danyl and that basically is what he is doing. He has not given up on Danyl.

I agree with you about the twins why are they not on twitter doing the same, replying to any nasty Twitters?
Who is advising them and they are only 18 for goodness sake.

Someone needs to advise Danyl because this might only be a taste of what is to come if he enters the entertainment world. It is all par for the course.

The twins have a far better approach to dealing with criticism (just ignoring it) but not everyone is that confident and believe in themself enough to dismiss what other people are saying about them. Unfortuntely I think Danyl is one of those people.

I cannot remember who it was but it was an A list celeb., who said they did not care about what was said about them they just ignored it.

If I was a celeb, I'd probably take that approach: try to avoid the press completely, it would drive me mad.

With Twitter though, when people are sending comments directly to you, it's a bit different. I can understand that's it's difficult to ignore. I myself have occasionally gotten into wars of words with complete strangers on there.

It takes a certain amount of self belief to ignore criticism though. If you feel worthy you won't allow others to upset you, perhaps Danyl is just lacking in confidence?

Some kids get so stressed by this type of thing they commit suicide, and so do some adults it is not about age it is about how you deal with things, what things have affected you sometimes as a child mould who you become as you grow up.

The twins do have each other, they also have that Irish thing, not sure how to explain it but look at Terry Wogan he takes it on the chin and always has and is able to laugh at himself, I can think of many Irish with the same type of armour I guess you would call it.

Danyl is not that type of person if you ask me, he is very vunerable as are a lot of actors, singers, painters they wear their hearts on their sleeve and the hurt shows no matter how they may try to smile it away or shrug it off, it does not mean they are not good at what they do, they just dont handle this type of thing as well as others. To be fair to have this type of thing in the magnitude that he has beggars belief as to how many would deal with it.

Danyl is a contestant on a talent show and is new to all this. I wouldn't be surprised if SC hasn't had a word after last week and told Danyl to start sticking up for himself and not let 'them' bring him down.

Yes but then you have people who will say *arrogant, cocky swine* and there is a difference but they wont see it that way, the people who want to put Danyl down will pick up on anything they can, which is why many have made the joke that thank god Danyl was no where to be seen when Joe tripped and hurt himself, not nice to think really that was taken as a complete accident and it was, may not have been had Danyl's name been mentioned as being part of the prank. Danyl's had a lot of bad press and with bad press comes the haters...

He doesn't need to "be looking for feedback on himself" to read those tweets, whenever someone mentions him by typing @DanylAJohnson on twitter it comes up in his tweets...he would see it regardless.

If you actually type that in to search on twitter you will see that people mainly tweet nice stuff to him, it's just the odd loser here and there that has nothing better to do and feels the need to be nasty

Danyl seems very sensitive to criticism which suggests he may not that be confident after all.As far back as the week when Dannii made a jibe about his sexuality,he seemed very upset by it.

He wasn't upset by Dannii, we got the wrong end of the stick It was the comments from Cheryl and LuLu that got to him.

With that I whole heartedly agree, people have not seen that it is a veneer, it is called self defence you build a wall round yourself, you can come over as chatty and what appears cocky, to going off and hiding in your shell the next.

He is one vunerable person, but that does not mean he cannot succeed, many actors, painters, and singers are like that, they just have to harden up eventually or they end up on the drink, drugs or commit suicide.

He should have ignored it, the rubbish was too extreme to even bother with, that is why the idiot went so far to try and goad a reaction.

I work closely in a famous person's camp and they have had a load of rubbish throughout the years, and I remember them replying through a publicist on just 1 occasion but everything else is ignored. Best way to handle things.

He really needs some PR training and fast.

I agree with you the sooner the better as it happens as I think it is just going to carry on, on the internet, in the press in magazines now as well, he has to distance himself from this and learn how to handle it, ie ignore it.
