Best take on a talent show of the Nina Simone bluesy arrangement: Rachel Hylton

Best take on a talent show of an alternative arrangement: Adam Lambert (which took from the Muse version but added back some of the swing feel a la Michael Buble).

Danyl? A weak attempt at the Adam Lambert arrangement but as comparable to Adam's performance as Danyl's three steps were to Adam's staircase.

I hated it. The performing was good, the vocals were horrible.

To me this thread is a joke. How anyone can say Danyl's version was superior to Nina Simone or Muse's version is beyond me. It's not even the best reality show version of it; Rachel and Adam totally kicked his ass. All my opinion of course!

To me Nina Simone's is the best, but any I've heard on these type of things was Rachel's last year. It was amazing. To me anyway.
