Well its just i think it could strain his vocals, there are much easier songs he could have been given....he could hardly talk most of the week i just think he should have been given somethign simpler.

I dont follow all the song haters here. footloose is a very very easy song to sing. It has no melody. Its the same note for the vast majority of the song. i quite fancied it for the twins for that fact.

Anyway. Lloyd only needs to dance a bit and sing along to the backing track. Even with a sore voice it should be easy for him. The only tough bit is the howling last note and he can miss that easily. I expect a good performance from lloyd on this one. Lots of 'back on your game after last week' type comments as well!

He's in deep do-dos then. Cos he can't dance/move either, can he? I've seen more animated stuffed owls.

I doubt Lloyd will be in danger this week, his fans will be galvonised to vote and he'll have some sympathy for being ill and a trooper.

I do think Cheryl is showing her hand, she wants 'her little Joe' in the Final.

He'll do alright with that song. His voice is not strong, but can sound pleasant enough when he is on the ball.

I actually think it is better for him that a ballad - but I will reserve judgement until tomorrow.

Lloyd should have gone last week, CC is doing us all a favour, he can't sing and nor is he pretty, he is just blond and bland, bye bye Lloyd!

Hmmm, history in the making maybe? This is how good she was on her original audition, looks took over!

exactly, also last year she had all the "poor Cheryl, her husband cheated on her" etc, so gaining sympathy from the public for some reason, and with the help of the media, press making her into the "nations sweetheart"(wtf??) this helped her also stay in the comp, now this year people realise she isnt a great judge and at last realising Danni(the one who the press like to make out is a ice maiden) is infact a good judge and a much nicer and genuine person than Cheryl is.

I don't think she's trying to make him fail on purpose, I just think she's not got many brain cells to rub together and has limited range in music knowledge.
I also don't think Lloyd would excell with any song, his voice sounded better when he was ill, he has a dull voice, and not a particularly good dull one either.

Many people liked Lloyd when he sang Bleeding Love and he allegedly topped the votes that week. Interesting that he hasnt been given another ballad. Much prefer him singing slow songs to Joe.

Me too Lloyd has a softer voice that works much better in slow songs.

Hey on the plus side (im trying to cheer my self up here) At least we will get a chance to hear him sing another ballad when he is in the bottom 2.

Brian Friedman was even in the press saying he has two left feet...and they give him Footloose. It's like a cruel joke! Another one, following on from last weeks.

Choreography makes it harder to sing as well, whilst some of them to date have had virtually none, or one at most. I realise he's unlikely to win, but this feels...spiteful. I just don't get it.

It is very spiteful and to such a truly lovely boy i just dont get it.

I can only think that lloyd is just trusting everyone has his own interests at heart

Lots of comments about Lloyd better with slow songs - for my preference Lloyd singing no songs would be prefereable

Does seem quite spiteful and makes me wonder why she chose Lloyd as one of her acts in the first place if all she was going to do was concentrate on Joe and do everything she could to destroy Lloyd's chances. At least give him a slow song this week Cheryl.

And if she wants him out to give Joe his votes, that is one risky strategy. Those votes are just as likely to swing to the twins or Olly.

I dont think I have ever known of another act in X Factor who has been given such lousy songchoices and done so in such a blatant way. Friedman has already stated that Lloyd has two left feet which is a bit risky with a song like Footloose.

Oh my god, it totally hadn't occurred to me that he's probably going to have to dance as well. Is there enough alcohol in the world to make poor Lloyd trying to dance bearable?!
