this is another pointless thread.....you say you dont like all the moaning and all the differing opinions....but surely thats the point of a forum....to discuss?? If Danyl(and some of the other contestants) wasnt around this forum would be very boring.

But as I've said before, nobody pretends Jedward can actually sing. They occupy a very different universe to everyone else on the show and are almost designed to make people love them or hate them. It's the idea that Danyl is a good singer that I just don't get. People post here as if he's actually a contender on the world stage when in fact he's just appallingly unpleasant to listen to/watch.

i have no problem with you not liking danyl (i dont think hes that great, but he's probably better than some on the show), but why do you have to use "he is" all the time....you not liking him does not make it fact....surely "i think" would be better. thats what i think people who like him find annoying....its not that you dont like him, its the way you make it sound like its fact all the time....when all it is, is your opinion

That's the way I choose to express myself thanks very much. It is however an empirical fact that he's awful - it's just that his fans are highly suggestible and Derren Brown (a known, practising Danyl fan) has hypnotised them into the irrational belief that he's any good

But I actually started this thread because of what I see is brining down what could be a genuinely enjoyable x-factor and unfortunately love him or hate him that is the Danyl factor. Of course people can come on a forum to disagree , not everyone should agree it would be a boring world. Petty squabbles over who people like are all well and good but with the Danyl situation it becomes more of a battle of who can hate him ore or who can come to his defence quicker.
I am sorry you think that this thread is just to stir up debate but as I stated that is my opinion.
Maybe its just me but I want to enjoy X-factor, maybe even root for a winner, laugh at those who fail to make the grade, even have my mind changed by someone I disliked in the beginning. Is that so wrong? Why can't I do this now because the show has become all about one contestant ( and Jedward) , and it sort of makes enjoyment less.

Surely it's the people who forget it's a tv show and spend hours praising him like he's a god/condeming him as the anti christ who should be the ones to switch off the box and do something else with their evenings? why should anyone suffer because others like to go on a power trip in an internet forum? absurd.

You make a lot of sense here but it's sad that they won't so it easier (IMO) that the source of the problem goes. They do this alot in the corporate world , they don't fire all employees if one is being hated/praised/disruptive. They just fire the employee. Though with that analogy the employee would also get a warning and formal procedures, however I think Dany, has had his being in the bottom 2.
