People post here as if he's actually a contender on the world stage when in fact he's just appallingly unpleasant to listen to/watch.”

That's just your opinion. I find Olly's voice boring and unexciting but he seems a nice enough bloke. I don't feel the need to slag him off because he wouldn't be my choice of winner. That's the point about shows like this - We all have different opinions about who's good. What I don't get is the OTT hate being shown towards Danyl. It's ridiculous.

But I don't hate Danyl. This is the hilarious thing about this whole debate. Just because I find him annoying, painful to listen to and slightly creepy doesn't mean that I hate him. I don't hate anyone and if I did I wouldn't waste the energy on a crummy X Factor contestant, I'd go for someone who actually does harm to people.

Danyl only does harm to music and the art of performance. Olly is indeed slightly unexciting but he doesn't trigger off the allergic reaction I have whenever Danyl's on TV!

My 2 cents on Danyl.

He's good at singing the big notes, however generally his voice sounds quite whiny and his stage performance is much better than his vocals, on Spiidey's MP3's most of his songs sound pretty bad. Still, I think some people go a bit to far with the disliking, after all he is only a talent show contestant

I wasn't pointing the finger at you regarding the hate campaign against Danyl. I was just generalising. But it's interesting that you have such a low opinion of X factor contestants - what makes them crummy exactly?

It really drags any discussion down because if you say something against him you are lambasted and asked for proof of this that or tother.

If you support him you get all manner of comments saying he is this that or tother or why.

I believe his going would make X-factor enjoyable again because at the moment whilst he is in it it makes uncomfortable viewing because you never know what is going to happen next. I like high drama but I don't like the flair of the dramatic. It puts me off enjoying everyone else.

I posted this in another topic but then discovered it needed to be said.

This is all my opionion however...”

stupid reason to dislike someone and even more stupid reason to want someone off the show. Even more ridiculous is this thread.

Well I'm probably exaggerating slightly but the whole premise of the programme dictates that originality isn't really a prerequisite. Also, this year's batch are particularly mediocre. This doesn't however stop me from enjoying the show. I fond the whole thing very entertaining but I don't think there's ever been an X Factor contestant whose records I would buy.

I think the best singer has gone - that was Rachel (although she was by no means amazing but for me she had her own thing going on whcih made her more interesting than most of them.) If I had to choose from those that are left, I'd say Stacey because she's so likeable.

I too thought Stacey was likeable to begin with, but now she just irritates the hell out of me. Seems I 'aint the only one either, she has been warned to cut down on the 'div' act - it's not what she's like off stage and people are turning against her for it.
