Cheryl has destroyed the boy with just the most WTF song choices i have ever seen...

She has not only given him a song that needs a lot of rehearsing but one that just wont work with him whatsoever and may strain his vocals.

He has hardly been able to talk this whole week how on earth is he ever going to be ready by tomorrow?

Im sure most people on DS will be having a field day but I will be very sad when he leaves.

Never felt more sorry for a contestant

They say that Louis favours the Irish acts because of where he was born but Cheryl brings it to a whole new level. This song needs changed as it could permanently damage Lloyd's vocal chords with him losing his voice this week.

If you feel that sorry for him you should vote to keep him in!

I dunno what the song choice is. But I almost think he's so weak that the song choice doesn't even matter, with him. Can't think of a song he could manage. Biffa Cole's song choices have been the worst of any judge's ever in the history of the show, so he's only working at the same disadvantage of Joe, to be honest. Give him the best song in the world or the poorest, he's guaranteed to make it the vocal equivalent of tofu (only blander).

He might get the sympathy vote this week after last week. Plus i reckon the teens will love it, although they'd probably love it more had it been a High School Musical track (just like Eoghan last year).

What i don't get though, is why Lloyd agreed to the song suggestion?! He can't seriously think it's a good choice, why didn't he say "No Cheryl, no way!" His voice would suit a song like Kiss the Girl from The Little Mermaid by Peter Andre. But hey, i'm just a viewer, Cheryl clearly knows best!

He probably fancies Cheryl or is starstruck by her.

I have done through-out and will but i dont think it will be enough to save him sadly..

And to all those saying he cant sing any song....thats a lie lloyd really can sing but he NEEDS slow songs that do not over-work his limited range.

Lloyd could have amazing with the right songs....thanks Cheryl

the problem with Cheryl... she chose the 3 monkeys over Ethan... sore throat or bad song choice people are still gonna vote if they really like the act... look at Jedward.

To the OP - If you think that people get voted out based on their ability to sing then you really haven't been watching what everyone else has been watching ..

I like him too. He's a sweet boy with a nice voice. He might do a Leon Jackson. You never know.

LOL - You mean end up in the bargain bin even if he was 'sucessful'? Is why I don't understand Simon not getting shot of him when he had the chance. A second Leon would kill the show stone dead.

I'd rather J+E went first, but sadly i don't like lloyd no. I think he's probbaly very sweet and likeable but this doesn't come across well on the live shows and combined with his singing voice, which isn't strong enough yet, I don't think he'll make it.

He may get a sympathetic vote this week from the public, if the VT's play up the sore throat he's probably had all week. Personally, I feel after J&E, he's the weakest act left in the competition.

You can't really compare Lloyd to Leon. In terms of sheer vocal ability, Leon had much more on the show.

Wll she certainly doesnt feel the same way with the songchoices she has been giving him. There is no way he should be singing her suggestion this week especially given the fact he has been unable to rehearse thanks to losing his voice.

I agree, because Leon hasn't had chart success people seem to think he was rubbish. Leon had quite a good voice, much better than Lloyd's.

Oh yeah

It's a bit off-topic, but his first release wasn't great and the label could have picked a better debut single like "Creative" or "Stargazing".

Anyway, keep voting bluerose, and you never know. I think Lloyd will be ok this week, but next week it'll be lights out.

In some ways it might not be a bad choice.

It might allow for some Jedward style voice covering (long loud chorus with a multitude of backing singers). It's a good song for hiding a multitude of sins.

Cheryl made her choice on the basis of looks, not surprising, it is how she made it, but Ethan and Duane were streets ahead vocally, together with Daniel Pearce the show could have been much more interesting.

I think Simon decided the winner would be Danyl or Jamie and the rest were chosen so as not to put in too much competition, the twins were meant to be the first act out so that they did not loose anyone too good.

This whole series and their bad decisions have backfired on them, like many people, I agree the twins are not good, but in the absence of any exciting or interesting acts they are the best thing about the show.

He will get the rebound vote. I think he didn't get the votes because his fans were trick or treating last week

I don't know why everyone is so upset about this song choice?

Spoiler
Footloose
is an easy sing - not a huge range, so he should be more comfortable than struggling through a big ballad and not reaching all of the notes like he usually does, it will no doubt be a big dance number so will look impressive and be memorable to voters, and a quick back flip would not be inappropriate.

Granted, if he's still under the weather he might prefer something more low key, but I don't think this will be the disaster predicted if he is on form
