What's the point...

It's probably been said before, but what's the point of the sing off when they can't decide, and go to the public vote.

Because the judges don't trust us to make the decision so they want first dibs on who goes, then when they can'tt decide they throw it back to us again.

Seriously though, it's not always been this bad. This is the first series where it seems to go to deadlock every week. In previous series they've usually made their mind up. Simon usually has good reasons for taking it to deadlock. Cheryl on the other hand... "i don't want to chose, take it to deadlock"

I think, like last week, the judges had to go to the public vote. I mean had they kept ~Rachel despite her fantastic performance, it would have been a form of injustice as he did not receive the least votes.

But that's exactly what Simon said last week. "Rachel's the better singer, but Lloyd was ill so I can't choose."

He also brought up the fact that Rachel had been in the bottom 2 3 times so she's clearly unpopular. That, along with Lloyd being ill is a better reason for taking it to deadlock. Cheryl had no such excuse, she just didn't want to decide.

That's probably true. She said last week that Danyl doesn't do it for her and she liked Miss Frank so yeah she probably used the "can't decide" excuse so not to annoy Simon.
