You are a little postar.hearthrob etc
You nailed it. There never seems to be anything constructive to say. |

She's really irritating me this year. Such a limited vocabulary and she rarely has anything constructive to say. I also don't get the impression she's been a fantastic mentor either. Her song choices have been dire.

I can't be sure of course, but I think she really didnt like ANY of the boys this year really. She wanted the overs or the girls (just my opinion, as I say, don't really know!) and when she didnt get them, she just stopped giving a toss. Her comments this year back that up, she was better last year in that respect as well, although not much. I do like Cheryl, but she has not been much use to anyone this year... |

They could always script her like Alesha on SCD or give her auto cue!

Well, while you'd hope she'd improve, in your heart of hearts you know there isn't much prospect of it. She's purely decorative really.

I think it's hard to give constructive criticism if you don't know what you're talking about. Most of the contestants can sing better than her, so the only constructive advice she could give is how to get rich and famous with no talent at all.

i also thought she did well with the girls last year, but i don't think she's been anywhere near that this year with the boys.
she can probably relate to young girls a lot better than than boys, but that's beside the point really. |

Surely Cheryl is the most "Relevant" and "authentic" judge.

I very much doubt it, she has no vocabulary.
Get rid of her. |

They should lose her and get in someone like Pete Waterman who really does know about music. She is too busy trying to be a Posh, as in a decorative clothes horse, and has no idea on how to mentor anyone.

WEEK 4 X FACTOR CLICHES AND PLATITUDES "You give that extra 20%" (Cheryl to Joe) "You are an absolute star" (Dannii to Joe) "The little boy has become a man, and Joe, don't stop believing" (Louis to Joe) "I genuinely hope the public vote for you... you deserve it" (Simon to Danyl) "You're the heartthrob" (Dannii to Lloyd) "You are a little popstar" (Cheryl to Lloyd) "There are 100 guys doing what you do in pubs" (Louis to Jamie) "You made that song your own" (Louis to Jedward) "It's two young kids living a dream" (Louis to Jedward) "I have to say I adore you" (Dannii to Olly) "You sound like a credible artist" (Simon to Olly) Louis wins the week on this front, for me. But he's still great. His cliches and cheesy lines are what he is best at. They aren't paid to be constructive, they are paid to give opinions and be entertaining. 30 seconds on live TV is not the time for a constructive appraisal of someone's performance. Hence why they so rarely do it. It is funny how when you actually look at the text of what the judges say, it is often rather different to perceptions on DS. Feel free to add to the above. |

I think she is pure decoration as well, and to be honest her dresses have been dire on the whole. She has not had the same interest I dont think the lads as she did the lasses last year. She seems too full of HERSELF to give a toss, and her new single, new album, and should a judge be allowed to air herself on the show she is judge on, I think NOT, it makes it more of a joke programme.
Sing, no she cant, and she is there judging people who can, ironic really. To the person who said bring back Pete, he would not touch this show format with a barge pole, the man has too much musical sense for that, but he was an excellent judge on Pop Idol, as were Nikkii and Foxy, thats who you want on there Foxy to liven it all up a bit, and boy he made people laugh as well... It is all too bitchy with the judges, and it is not about them... well no GG actually it is ALL about them, which is the demise of this show as it is turning into a complete farce and believe me I am not talking about the twins either. Yes and the most telling of all those comments is from Simon.. as that my friend is who he wants to win OLLIE... it says what I have been saying all along, Danyl is not the chosen one OLLIE is.... so for me that is the is the comment that wins the week..for the pure irony of what he also says to Danyl, his supposedly chosen one.. the public have been well and truely duped which was Simons intention all along...

You seem to have this idea that you are the all-knowing one, sadly for you everything you say is speculation and out of your own mind. I've never seen anything you've written that you can back up with actual facts.

To GG: You've near enough libelled Alexandra Burke in another thread and suggested Simon Cowell never tells people about who he gives to charities.
People like you are worse than the press, spreading gossip and lies. Stop this rubbish, please. |

You nailed it. There never seems to be anything constructive to say. The exact same thing happened to Dannii last year. Dannii had been flavour of the year with Simon the year before and then when Cheryl came along last year Simon was not particularly pleasant to Dannii, just as he is not being very pleasant to Cheryl now. I think that the public need to give it a rest with Cheryl now. There is no need for it at all! |
