Let's suppose it's a slow song with a lot of high notes, out of the remaining contestents who would struggle with it and who wouldn't, the twins would ofcause but what about the others personally I think Lloyd, Olly and possibly Jamie would all struggle but the others would be fine with it

There is a mischievous side to me that hopes that Jedward make the final just so as they have to sing something like you describe.

It would be sweet revenge for Mr Cowell & those of us who want the twins out. I would actually watch that performance instead of fast forward on the Sky +. It would be a TV highlight for all the wrong reasons.

None of the contestants have shown leona-like vocal ranges, so they will have to choose something any of the acts can sing.

Why don't they use the winner's song from that Peter Kay special, it's all built in in there.


For once I wouldn't mind it they had an up-tempo winners sone, because you know the X-factor will be No. 1 so why inflict us with such dreariness at Christmas it's meant to be happy and such.

Someone suggested on another thread "The Voice Within" by Christina Aguilera. I love this song and it has winner's song written all over it. The trouble is it might not suit some of the contestant's voices. Olly's version would be comedy gold.

Whatever song they choose whether its good (unlikely but possible) or bad it will no doubt be turned into a dreary dirge complete with key change and choir and go onto sell shed loads

I have a strange feeling that it's going to be a George Michael song - either Last Christmas or Careless Whisper.

Lucie could struggle. Although I very much like her voice, I feel when she comes to the big high note, the vocal turns in to a screech. It just my opinion.
