They don't seem to realise that us fans are becoming even MORE loyal to Danyl as a result of the negative 'drip drip' effect.

You can either love him or hate him but either way he's still on your mind. Surely there must be something better to do with your energy?

I know what I could do with my energy where Danyl's concerned.

You didn't, but the implication was that Danyl was a stronger character than Susan Boyle, therefore more equipped to cope with whatever is thrown at him.

My question is - why should anyone have to put up with the cr*p that some of them have directed at them. There was a time when we respected people who had a bit of talent who could get up and entertain the rest of us. What's happened in the last 10 years or so

The show and Simon are not doing him any favours.

Song choices like Purple Rain could be risky in regards to the pressure an image stakes.

Singing a song that is tied to an iconic X Factor performance from last year...doesn't do much to dispell accusations of cockiness and arrogance (regardless of how well he does)..and you're forcing the the judges and public to compare. It's putting pressure on him that he doesn't need.

He may as well just go for it and ignore the haters. They're never going to like him anyway.

The thing is that Danyls fans are not being put off by the revalations you are providing them with.

What you are doing is the reverse of what you are perhaps attempting to do.

Simon chose the song to be fair.

Not everyone will share your view that Ruths performance was iconic. Anyway there is little he can do but just get on with the job in hand and sing the song.

God I wish Sinitta would shut up. Obviously if Danyl really is close to a breakdown then that's awful and he has my sympathy, but I can't see how it's even vaguely anything to do with her whether he is or not, or,if what she says is true, why she feels the need to share something I think is very private with the public on his behalf.

I agree with you she shouild just keep her mouth firmly closed as it is not something one should discuss on Twitter.
I am disgusted actually.

I'm sorry because I never wanted to feel this way about a talent show/reality TV contestant but I can't help it. I have had enough of the overrating, the bad acting, the fishing for sympathy and, most of all, the performances that were not worthy of the hype in the first place and have become increasingly worse to the point of simply being bad.”

All I will say is time will tell. I am willing to sit back and wait because I know it will all hit the fan eventually. I just hope it is after he has left the show and that he doesn't win or it will really be the final nail in the coffin for the show.”

Oh I'm aware of that. My target was Simon's poor handling of the situation. Simon and the producers are well aware of the view by many that Danyl is arrogant / cocky..so they should be doing everything they can to dispell those claims..

...instead they are making choices that could make the situation worse, make Danyl look worse and put more pressure on him.

Whats so iconic about Purple Rain in the Xfactor??

Oh I forgot Ruth sang it

sorry she was good but it was far from iconic, lets face it if she had been that good she would have been in the final

I must strongly disagree with you on that point.
I rank it as the best ever performance on X-Factor and I know that others share my opinion.

Its going to be a hard one for Danyl.
