My question is - why should anyone have to put up with the cr*p that some of them have directed at them. There was a time when we respected people who had a bit of talent who could get up and entertain the rest of us. What's happened in the last 10 years or so ”

Only due to the fact Sinitta is comparing him to Susan Boyle. I didn''t say or mean it was ok just that he was probably less likely to have a breakdown which is what Sinitta is saying he may be heading for.

If you honestly think I'm saying it's ok for anyone to get that sort of abuse, you're reading my post wrongly.

So?

People often laugh in the middle of very varied emotions. It is a great stress releaser.

Cheryl should be giving constructive criticism on Danyl's performance not telling Danyl "You just don't do it for me.." what the hell is Danyl supposed to get from that which would help him for next week??

She is such a weak judge, it's beyond a joke.

you are wrong there, Danyl, Jamies, Joes and Ollys accounts have been confirmed as real accounts and been as his mates talk to him on that account i pretty much assume it is really him

Tbh, doees it really matter if, off camera, Danyl is a complete tosser? (Not saying he is btw).

There are many, many successful singers, actors and people in the industry who are probably complete ****s (insert your own choice word) and that hasn't stopped them being fantastic at what they do.

I wasn't attacking you, (sorry if it came across like I was) just making a general observation. I'm finding it really unreal the way these contestants have to put up with so much abuse from the public (and from the judges)

Sinitta doesn't seem to get that the judges are there to criticise, thats the whole point of them being there! No wonder Simon has never made her a judge.

Yeah but Cheryl's comments last weekend weren't exactly constructive - when simon didn't like lucie he told her why, because he didn't feel it was her then the next week she came out and showed her personality and simon approved, cheryl told danyl 'you have everything, and you do everything well you just don't do it for me' how is he supposed to work with that?? It's comments like that which make me think cheryl is just their because of her pretty face.

So when a widow laughs after (or even during the funeral sometimes), it means that her earlier tears must be a big act?

They are there to judge the performance , not get stuck into their character. They need something to work woth that they can do something about to enhance their performance..

Danyl laughed after the show on Sunday - he was pretty sure he was in the bottom 2 he said that himself and you could tell by his facial expressions whilst he was stood on the stage, the relief on his face when his name was called said it all, so the smile was probably because he couldn't believe he was still their, also it seems he is gaining in popularity now, papers aren't as against him anymore and neither are some of the mags, so he has something to smile about.

she only does it though because Lloyd is never going to win in a million years and Joe hasn't got the personality to win the show, so she in worried that she isn't going to win, Danyl is one of the stronger performers in the show, she has seen their have been some stories out their about him and rather than do what Danni and Louis did and back him she has knocked his confidence even more and jumped on the bandwagon - i really liked her last year but i can't stand her this year, she has lost that sparkle she had last year.

Exactly the point I made on another thread and Louis is just as bad telling Jamie he's like a pub singer, without explaining what he means and if he is like a pub singer, how he can improve.

Since when is it the role of a judge to give constructive criticism? A judge passes judgement. You're confusing judging with coaching or mentoring.

Tune into the Olympics and you don't see the gymnastics judges offering pointers, now do you? In this case the judges are expected to entertain the public as well, in the space of about 30 seconds each per contestant, over a backing track of a noisy audience. It's dead silly to pretend it's some kind of tutorial situation.

No, that's true - but you don't see Olympic judges marking them down because they think they are 'unlikeable' either That would be highly unprofessional, just as Louis and Cheryl's remarks have been.
