I've been watching the X Factor for a couple of years now, and it seems to me like Louis always has the most mediocre acts, trashy girl groups and below par boy bands that would be blown off the stage by any genuine singers, they all seem to be bad jokes, rejects he picked up at a sleazy karaoke bar during a drunken night out that he regretted in the morning. None of them have a chance in hell of winning, so why does Simon keep him around? Just to amuse himself?
The producers have given him the groups four times out of six series - the worst category. In series 2 and 4, when he didn't have the groups, he won 2 and didn't do too badly in 4. He still did well with the groups though. G4 and JLS made the final. The MacDonald Brothers came 4th and John & Edward are still in the competition. He won with Shayne and Niki came 4th in series 4. I wouldn't say he's done too badly considering for 4 series he's had the worst category. If only he got a decent category for once then maybe we'll see his true mentoring... It's been four years the last time we seen him with a decent act (Shayne). Louis knows Simon gives him the worst category each year because Simon nor the female judges will like it - probably moan backstage (Cheryl would, definitely) whilst people would say Dannii's being "picked on" by the producers. Louis doesn't mind having the worst acts because he just laughs it off and does what he needs to do. He knows he'll probably have one act for the final 4 (he's achieved this in all series so far) so doesn't take it too seriously. |

Same Difference he may have had Leona but I don't her rate either, I have never liked that warbler style of singing.... anyway it seems lemons get through every year.. chico for example, Louis is just a puppet I have been to the auditions as a chaperone (many times and on a second call back too).. and its clear cut that the script has been written before the acts audition in the first round.. its an ok day out , but its scripted Louis gets what he is given!! and paid to manage that! |

Simon picks the acts, Louis then mentors Simon`s shit acts.
It`s really not a difficult concept to understand. People who think Louis, Danni or Cheryl actually pick any acts need to take a long hard look at themselves. |

Louis only has himself to blame.
He only put Jedward through because they were Irish; how petty & small minded can he be? |

Wow.
People are naive enough to think that the mentors choose who they are putting through themselves. Tell us something you think we don't know then?

Would that make any sense given that Ireland can't vote in the competition?
Irish ex-pats living in the UK? |
