DO you think the Mobile Networks should bring down the price for phoning another mobile network. It costs me 30p a min to phone another network from 02 offpeak and weekends and almost 50p all other times. Im on 02 pay and go original tarif.

If i had my own mobile phone company i would charge 2p a min to landlines & same network at all times and 5p per minute for cross network at all times & 5p per txt msg also 1p a minute for GSM WAP & Free voicemail (like Virgin & T-Mobile).

The companys are stretching our limits, no one refuses to send msgs cos they are 10p so why would they decrease the price!

Its called profit maximisation, its a business tactic.

Most networks charge 12p for texts now & Virgin charge 3p for virgin-virgin txts.
And people have no choice wheather they want to pay it or not, they HAVE to ifv they need to send a txt!

Thats not really the point, massive profits would still be made even at those costs!

Why should phoning from a mobile to another mobile network be so dear. Its no dearer if you phone from say BT landline to another landline company.

I found an interesting fact yesterday.
If I buy a Spanish mobile SIM for when I'm in Spain, and use it in the UK while using the Orange network, I can call another Orange phone for about half the price it costs me from my other-network UK phone.

Now that is taking the ****!

Im not defending mobile phone companies, but who can blame them for their current rates.. If people pay it, then wht lower them.. The whole idea is to make money, not provide a free service by offering calls at cost price.... Also, because the gov in this country ripped the phone companies off with the 3G licence auction, the phone comp have massive debts, so they need to keep charges higher to claw back some of their massive outlay...so, in conclusion, there is only 1 winner!!! The gov!!, and we the consumers are paying for it again!!!!

By the way, virgin dont own any transmitters, they just piggy back t-mobiles network,so they lower costs
