If Danyl goes out this week, what will DS think of Olly?

Now that we have Simon backing Olly from his group (not helpful for Olly, Simon), if, by chance, Danyl gets the boot, will DS rally round Olly or will he be slated (as per Simon's fave)?

(Personally, I don't like either Danyl or Olly, but I think Danyl is a vastly better singer than Olly. Just so's I'm not being accused of favouring one over the other...... I'd like to see them both gone. )

Well there are slim pickings after Danyl, so Olly will probably come in for some bashing. The rest are so bland, I wonder if people will be bothered to muster up any enthusiasm for heated discussion.

Edit - with the exception of the twins of course.

I would agree, although I do like a couple of them. I think the twins are also becoming my guilty pleasure though.

Same as I've thought all along. Olly is the preferred choice of Simon and out of all the contestants Olly is the one with the X-factor. Danyl does not deserve to lose his place before some of the other contestants.

Olly is a far superior singer/performer in my opinion, so that's sorted for me.

I dunno, the latest weekly Least Favourite poll has Olly with the fewest votes of anyone (18), even fewer than Joe (21). Danyl has 239. I can't see a huge shift from Danyl to Olly just based on Simon's mentorship.

Sometimes I think the opposition to Danyl on DS is as much against the "Fanyls" as the man himself. (I mean the truly obsessed ones.) There's a lot of winding up going on with both sides. People who favour Olly seem much more casual about it.

My non-support of Danyl has nothing to do with him being Simon's favourite and all to do with not thinking he is much cop as a singer or performer, having seen his only good at best performances get increasingly worse and not having been able to warm to him as a personality.

It is actually the second time that I have not agreed with Simon in terms of his favourite or eventual favourite.

As for Olly, I won't start slating him because though he isn't the greatest singer to ever grace the stage (neither is Danyl, far from it) he has never been bigged-up for his vocals (more so an entertaining performer with an average voice who just needs to learn how to best use it - very much a Robbie type), he comes across as the cheeky chappy character he always did as and doesn't give the impression that he is pretending to be or wanting to be something he is not. Most importantly, unlike Danyl, his performances have gradually improved.

Sometimes I think the opposition to Danyl on DS is as much against the "Fanyls" as the man himself. (I mean the truly obsessed ones.)
I for one can say that I never hold a contestant or artist's fans against them. It's not their fault what any of their fans are like.

I should hope that they do think that they are something and it would be a great pity if Olly didn't also think he was something.

Danyl won't go this week (due to sympathy votes) but if he did go there would be no one to dislike. I like all the other contestants and Olly is one of my faves.
