This year's X FACTOR really is going downhill!!!
In previous years at least talent outshone damn right sillyness.
They are turning the show into some sorta bad panto. Don't get me wrong, for that reason I sorta hope the twins win. Even the song choices this year have been very questionable. What is going on? Have they lost it or something? It's not even car crash TV anymore, it's more SCRAPHEAP TV now!!! |

Downhill? Considering it is at the bottom already it cannot get any worse or can it? And the saddest thing is that I will still probably watch it tonight!

Not the worst series, that's season 4 by a country mile
But I do find it shocking that we are nearly to the halfway point and we're still to see a true shock result or stand out performance from anyone Rachel going last week was to be expected because she was never going to get another chance and it was three strikes and she was gone |

Last week was the first show I didn't watch live - I recorded it so I could skip through the twins. For someone normally enthusiastic about these things this is my first visit to an X Factor forum in 5 days, and tonight I'm seriously considering not watching or recording at all but instead may check out particular performances at YouTube when they appear.
In last season's American Idol so enthusiastic was I to see some of the contestants perform live, particularly Adam Lambert, that I sat up until 4am to watch it online. This series of X Factor has slowly had the opposite effect, it's now a lame joke for a singing contest, and I seriously think ITV have destroyed the future of the show as a talent contest for short-term gains/to trounce Strictly Come Dancing by exploiting the twins as a pair of musically untalented, dancing antiheroes. |

As much as I love X Factor I honestly believe that next yr may be the last. Although the ratings have been really high, I think this is for the wrong reasons. I watch it because its entertaining, no-one wows me and I can't see myself buying anyones record, whoever wins. I do want J & E out but then I think they are entertaining to watch and so as I can't see anyone doing brilliantly out of the show this yr and don't mind them staying over some of the acts.
I'm rooting for Stacey or Olly to win, they have nice voices but I'm not blown away by either. At the end of the day I like them because of their personalities, so its like a singing Big Brother contest. Oh dear! |

Going downhill yet the ratings are at their highest?
I agree the talent isn't as strong as XF5, but as for an entertaining show it's at it's best. |

What with John and Edward, spiteful press, ciontestants who cant walk and sing at the same time and the fact that they are all as bad as each other means this is the worse year yet and has turned into trainwreck TV.
People are tuning in just to see how naff J&E can go - Vote for the Worst website is rubbing its hands in glee. Each of the contestants have a dollop of crapola in them this year. Its shark jumping to be sure. The only reason I'm tuning in tonight is to see Stacey get walloped for doing YET ANOTHER BALLAD. |

I actually have no real standout fave and at this stage, couldn't care less who wins, as I wouldn't buy any one of their single, post XF. Which I find pretty sad, as I've loved the show since the start, but it's just losing it's appeal for me. Simon pretty much is phoning his comments in every week; the same ones being churned out as in previous seasons on XF and AI. The show's lost it's spark. |

Danyl - Too over-rated and is heading for a big fall very soon
Jamie - Quit moaning and get on with what songs you are given Olly - Too much of a showboat and poser Stacey - Div promos are getting a bit grating now Lucie - To be fair hasn't played on the little village aspect too much lately, but is a bit on the weak side vocally and I have a feeling she will go home in about 2 or 3 weeks Joe - Boring and hard to see why he is the favourite at the moment Lloyd - Would have gone home last week had he been up against anyone other than Rachel, his time is nearly up John and Edward - Turning this years show into a circus, how they are still there is baffling |

Whats killing it for me is the fact the judges are saying completly the opposite to what were thinking, why dont they have the balls to say "that was absolutly cack?"
I like to see the acts, and do tune in each week with our children, but even my 10 year old daughter said last week that Lloyds song choice was rubbish and he was terrible, even his dancers were bad. Im not sure who is going to win this year, I couldn't pick one out of the remaining ones. Jedward are only doing so well because they make people laugh. Odd to see them top of the hated and loved polls. Really a split divide on them. I personally look forward to see what they are doing, and if they really are doing the rumoured song this week - they will sail through to the next round. Its a fun classic that wont matter if they dont hit the notes.. its like the YMCA or Agadoo. Judges need to stop beating about the bush - going to deadlock. |

It`s not just this year, Simon has looked board and p*ssed off for a while now.
IMHO They need to `rest` the show next year. |

I'd be interested to see how the viewing figures fare after J & E leave - asuming they don't get to the final! I certainly look forward more to seeing what they are going to do, which does say a lot about this season really.
And yes, the judges need to make a decision and not keep going to deadlock. Though I guessed Simon didn't really care who left last week, hence leaving it up to the vote figures. |

Thing is next year all the no-hopers will turn up (for auditions) and decent voices will be few and far between, I think the shows format will have to change next year. Perhaps with an audio test in which say at least 40% of the song has to be in/nearly in key???

1. The booing and screaming chavs in the audience 2. Rejects from previous years getting invited back 3. Ready made love to hate characters Something needs to be done this year and fast to stop this years show descending into total chaos if an act with good potential is lost because of Lloyd or the twins Or could it be the age of reality tv is so burnt out that nobody much cares for these kinds of shows anymore because they know what to expect every year Adage - "You've seen one RTV show you've seen them all" |
