I thought that when Cheryl chose Lloyd she made a BIG mistake and I am being proved right sort of but Cheryl isn't helping with some very lousy and dubious song choice. Bleeding Love springs to mind, it was like watching a church mouse trying to sing in a catherdral and last week I kissed a girl wasn't that good either. Granted that Lloyd has had a bad week with his throat so what does Cheryl do, gives him Footloose (supposedly) which will be a rough song. I personally hate that song, so even though I didn't like Lloyd in the first place Cheryl has done nothing to make me change my mind, in fact its re-enforced my opinion of him.

I'm no fan of Cheryl but she doesn't control the X factor - Simon does. Cheryl does what Simon says right down to song choice. Well, that's highly likely, methinks. She's just a character in his panto.

I don't think Cheryl is even bothered this year ; she seems far more concerned with her solo career.

Lloyd has been horribly ill, he was only well enough to start practicing on friday!!

One day is just not enough time...its ridiculous he is even singing tonight according to his mother his throat is still bad.

I can't believe he's singing Footloose this week either, but the fact remains it is what it says on the page from the official site. That means that at some point he was going to sing it and it was a "choice" for him, so it's still annoying that he was given it at some point. And he still might be singing it of course.

Don't believe for one second she chooses the songs, and I've read she's doing no real mentoring whatsoever, but that's no excuse in my book, she should take more responsibility for what is being done in her name, it's tarnishing her reputation this year badly.

Still, she's rich and famous, what does she care?

Cheryl has only ever been interested in Joe. She chose Lloyd and Rikki because they were no competition for him, leaving out two better singers. 'My little northern Lad' is the one she want's to win and she fiercely attacks any other competitor who she sees as a threat to her ambition.

Stand By Me would suit Lloyd better than Footloose.
