Danyl Johnson has revealed that he is trying to ignore his press.
The X Factor contestant told Now that he just wants to do well in the competition.
"I don't read the papers because good and bad stuff can go to your head or get you down," he explained. "You can't get away from it because people will let you know about different things, but I just try to keep focused and keep my mind on the game in hand."
Johnson added that he felt under pressure after judge Simon Cowell described his first audition as the best ever.
"You think, 'Great, now I'm going to be rubbish'," he said. "I totally suffered from that because it was like, 'What else do I do?' But Simon's on our side. I speak to him all the time."
The X Factor continues tonight at 8pm on ITV1.”
