I'm watching BBC HD through my Sky HD box and the sound is awful-normal then fades and just when you reach for the remote it gets louder again

I'm getting the same problem in HD too but with Virgin. Glad it's not just me.

We can't switch over to BBC1 because we paused earlier and we're 10 mins behind everyone else.

id done same , but thankfully was only a couple of mins behind, just thought sod it and switched, but 10 mins is a fair bit, should do it after celebs have danced, then you will have got straight to dance off lol

It wasn't good. I kept having to turn the sound up and down the whole time.

Agree, the levels were awful on HD. We could hear Brucie talking as Rod Stewart started singing - same on non-HD ?

Me too, 15 minutes while I waited for my pizzas at Dominos

Yep, not that I minded because it drowned a bit of Rod out.

Production Team outside their studio comfort zone but there was nothing wrong visually so why did the sound team get it so badly wrong?

I thought the sound levels on normal SD BBC1 Freeview were all over the shop tonight.

Bruce and Tess' microphones clearly wern't turned up enough, and during the pre-recorded bits, the volume was too high.

My remote control was working overtime.

Watching on non-HD no sound problems at all, except for those moments. I was worried Brucie might say something god-awful indiscreet in front of 10 million viewers.

i have found that ( in my opinion) the sound mixing on the series has generally been very poor -

Having seen the sound department on It Takes Two talking about how if they makes mistakes we'll all hear it, I had to chuckle.

The sound really spoilt the show, for me, ruining a show I had been looking forward to for weeks.

C'mon BBC HD, get it together.
