Output in HD and SD simultaneously?
I'm finally moving on from my old Sky+ SD setup, and intend to migrate to an HD Freesat PVR. I'll buy a new HD set to go with it, but will keep a couple of older SD sets to which I've happily been distributing my Sky+ via a loftbox etc.
QUESTION: Is it generally normal for Freesat PVRs to be able to output HD (eg on HDMI) and SD (eg on SCART) AT THE SAME TIME? I need to do this if I'm to send the signal from my Freesat PVR to a new HD TV and the old SD sets around the house. The Freesat PVRs I'm considering include Humax FoxsatHDR and Panasonic DMR-BS750. Will either of those do what I need? |

Thank you anthony. So, simultaneous output in HD on HDMI and SD on legacy connections works on the Humax. Does anyone know if that's true for the Panasonic, or generally?

According the article at PVR Junction the firwmare update now anticipated on or soon after 10th November includes: • RGB output available on HD content (Live TV and Recordings) which means it will actually be worth watching. |
