The very nature of person that can't dance is that they simply dont know how good/bad they are

That should be obvious to average high school graduate - even couple chimps could grasp it

Yet this tediously obvious concept is clearly beyond a lot of posters on this thread since they have interpreted Craig simple inability to dance into conceit - morons

He's not conceited - he just couldn't dance to save his life - like Ricky wassaname out of Eastenders

OMG Stuart Alan Jones (Aiden Gillan ).... he's soooooo sexy, he would knock the living daylights out of craig. But like you, I have supported Craig cos of Queer as Folk LOL what we like? hehehe

I'm not sure.

I think Craig knows how bad he is. I also think he is a bit of a clever smart arse.

He tries hard, and doesn't like the fact that he ain't good, so he spins it around and plays the sincere 'I thought I was good' deluded, sweet, card.

He's neither deluded nor sweet, in my opinion, he very well may be a rather prickly arrogant sort - defensively perhaps, from very young, and he has had one over on us.

I don't actually mind. It was interesting to watch. And he couldn't blame the public for voting for him, he played the game.

No he doesn't - that's the nature of someone who cant dance - and that's a stone cold fact!

Craig will look at Ricky Wittle tonight and wonder what all the fuss is about - he cant see the difference between Ricky and himself

Ricky Eastenders is from the very same plant 'cantdance' - ask him whether anyone else can gyrate their hips as well as himself - and he'll tell they cant

Ptttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!

Not always, though. A great many if not most people who can't dance are very well aware of the fact that, dancing-wise, they are bad or at least not very good! Fiona Phillips is an example and I'm sure other posters can help me with this one.

I liked him but glad he`s out because he was the weakest dancer - would have hated to see someone like Jade or Ali voted out before him.

Craig reminds me a bit of Dom (can't remember his surname but he danced with Lilia one year; small guy, bald head). I seem to recall Dom being convinced that his dance had everything the judges claimed they were looking for and yet they'd given him poor marks which he failed to understand.

they are not aware of it At All - Fact!

You have merely made bad assumption

people tell bad dancers they are crap dancers and if enough people tell them they will accept it - but they are not personally aware of musicality in the slightest = hence they cant dance = they'll NEVER know they cant

Obviously!

At first I found it amusing that Craig was convinced that he could dance. But by the end it was just really irritating. I wanted him to go last week, so am really pleased that he's gone. Ricky Groves should be out next week, because he's not funny now either.

I think Craig is a much nicer person than Dom though - he had a real chip on his shoulder.

I agree. I can understand someone thinking they are a good dancer until they see themselves dancing but then the penny drops. Maybe at first he thought he was good but surely week after week of watching his performances and listening to the judges comments reality would filter through.

I can't sing, yet when I sing at home alone I think I sound fine. If I listened to a recording of myself it would be like dying cats.

Nope - the penny will ****never***** drop

Craig has zero musicality

His intense staring at Flavia says it all - he has to watch her in order to know what foot to move next - he cannot even hear the music and draws no relationship between music and his movements- in fact if there was no music being played at all he would still do *exactly* the same

Isn't that saying he has a mental illness though? Saying that despite being faced with proof he still remains delusional?

Well I'm a rubbish dancer and have always known that. I can't believe I'm the only useless dancer in the world who realises they're useless.

I'm not. I'll miss his silly dancing.....I'm not hugely annoyed though or anything as clearly he was the worst dancer.

I too don't believe for a second he's as deluded as he made out. Tee hee.

Not sure how you reached that conclusion???

The man can not dance - end of

He has no concept of dance (Neither has Ricky Eastender)

I am quite confident he thought he would get straight 10's tonight as he walked toward Brucie after the dance

If you're implying he is trying to delude himself then you're wrong - he honestly doesn't know how bad/good he is

The judges tell him straight (but he assumes the judges just dont like him) - he goes back stage and all his "pals" are telling him he's brilliant - he his simply not equipped to make a judgement and so he's probably inclined to believe his friends and family (that are lying)

none of this should be news

same happens in X factor auditions - most of which cant sing and are gob-smacked when judges tell them

.

If someone is presented with incontrovertible proof that something is true ie that they cannot dance, if they then continue to believe they can dance then I would question the state of their mental health.

I thought my singing voice was ok until I heard a recording of my singing. Now I know I am bad. Nothing anyone else says to me could change my mind. My husband, bless him, says its not that bad. But it is, it really is.

True but not someone deluded like Craig. I thought for the first few weeks he might be good and improve, but he just doesn't have what it takes.

There's lot of reason why someone is crap dancer

You simply might not have the right physical equipment - i haven't now

If enough people tell you that you are crap dancers then you probably are and should accept it - that's the way crap dancers find out they are - crap

but to make that judgement upon yourself you have to have musicality - without which you will never know whether you are good or bad

Craig does not know - it's quite obvious

hence he cannot be accused of conceit - he simply doesn't know

Eh? Fiona Phillips, Kate Garraway, Quentin Wilson, John Seargent, even Kenny Logan, to name but a few, couldn't dance, and seemed to be perfectly aware of the fact. In fact virtually every celebrity dancer who has been rubbish has been perfectly aware that they are not cut out for dancing: in my eyes Craig was almost unique in apparently not being so.

I felt he had just enjoyed himself and was a bit put out at the comments which were OTT. I thought he did better this week and his effort was at least worth the same marks as Ricky Groves - perhaps this is what Craig thought!!

I think he did, just about. I suppose he expressed his admiration of her rather than simply thanking her.
