. . . for justifying all the comments and criticisms that were made when you became a 'judge'.

Here, here. She said exactly what I was thinking. Good on her.

Sometimes it's a good idea not to say what you are thinking. Especially when you are supposed to be doing a professional job. And especially when thinking isn't your strong point.

I thought she was very bitchy towards Craig tonight

What happened to empathising with the celebs and seeing it from their persepctive and being supportive of them?

She's not supposed to be doing either of those things - she is supposed to be judging the celebs. She was accurately honest.

It was a bit harsh, but I had to agree with her and quite a few people on here have said the same, so good on her for daring to say it.

That was a very nasty comment she made, totally unnecessary, and very unprofessional.

Nothing about Craig or the dance he'd just done, just a tantrum that her friend had been slung out the previous week - as if he could do anything about that.

Far too harsh. She needs to learn how to be tactful. She's supposed to be impartial, which means not attacking the dancers for the crime of being voted for by the public.

I was under the impression her "Raison d'etre" was to be the voice of the public, therefore she was only saying what a whole heap of us have been thinking.

I thought her comments were disgraceful (as apparently do about 100 other people on another board).

Yes indeed instead of brains, class, taste and anything more than a vague knowledge about dancing. The woman is a total joke. I am annoyed with myself for actually listening to the silly rude bint!!

They were harsh but the performance was dire beyond belief. He had a free pass into this week at the expense of someone much better than him. That was an opportunity to shine. He didn't - he actually got worse.

That's the impression she gave at the start of the series on ITT.

It's what was differentiating her from Arlene.

Why not?

That was part of the justification for her being appointed as a judge.

I rarely start threads - but her comments tonight incensed me

Surely it's an unwritten rule that each week, every contestant starts with a clean slate. Never can I recall any judge harking back to the results of a previous week. She then added insult to injury with her patronising and hypocritical "you've been very sweet my love."

Go back to singing my love.

For the first time since she became a judge I agreed with her comments! Well said Alesha.

And those who are criticising her, I hope you also whinge about bruno, Len and Craig, who make equally harsh (but often true) comments.

She was out of line. I didn't like Craig and thought he was really deluded, but Len said it in the right way, Alesha was a complete b****

Maybe, but she's a bit more experienced at judging now so perhaps she has learnt you have to put any emotions to one side and be objective. It would have been very difficult for any of the judges to have lavished praise on Craig tonight because he was simply awful.
