Yes footgirl, because so many people felt the same as I do I thought I would see what the BBC had to say about it. If no one complains to them, they won't know the strength of feeling.

Actually, her comments to Craig were exactly what I was thinking.

I love you Alesha.

That doesn't make it acceptable. There are a lot of things that viewers will think and even say to family and friends about competitors that are not inappropriate for a judge to say.

I don't care if it's acceptable. There are plenty of things in SCD that are not acceptible.

Love certainly is blind in your case.

or Natalie Cassidy, or Phil Tuffnell, or Ricky Groves, or Chris Hollins. You can't blame Craig. Yes he was awful, but her comments were out of order

Do you think it was okay because it was Alesha, or do you just think that anyone can say anything regardless of whether it is acceptable?

Craig's dance was memorable for the fact that Alesha released her inner bitch and totally forgot the remit that she was there as the caring, sharing supportive judge, alliterations will be next.

I think most of us at home watching would of rather watched Zoe then Craig lol

But that's just it though. It wasn't exactly honest. It was bitter and spiteful, and became so when she said "and I had to endure that". Then to be so patronising at the end by saying "Craig love"

The ridiculous showmances are ruining the tone of the show, IMO. The judges have got to stop complaining about the public vote. And its probably time for Bruce to retire (hopefully with his much earned Knighthood)

However, undoubtedly long term damage has been done to SCD and whatever the BBC does it may well be that its glory days are over....”

I agree with most of your points.

This year its clear to me:

Alesha not working- new female judge next year. Poss Darcy if she goes down well, poss Karen who is popular and has extensive SCD and dancing experience (the logical choice)
New presenter- Brucie is just too past it..... will he go without a fight though! Wont he be 83/84 next year?? surely a bit old to be presenting BBC's main sat night TV show?
Split the show- start earlier, so theres not too much overlap with X Factor. Have an hr or so gap until 10ish, then do a quick 20 mins or half hour "results" show...
Music- (I mean guests) has been ABYSMAL this year... needs a radical rethink. Needs to attract a better calibre of singers, not clapped out, passe oldies...
Show- SHORTER would benefit SCD overall. Less dancers and less pros would also hopefully release more money to be spent on attracting a better calibre of celebs...

A lowlife

She said aloud what a lot of people were thinking - granted it sounded nasty and bitter - but to call her a lowlife is just as nasty imo

Am I the only one marvelling at the irony of a thread at 262 posts and counting consisting largely of people hiding behind the anonymity of an internet alias complaining about Alesha making allegedly offensive (if completely accurate) comments while making deeply personal and offensive comments themselves. Anyway, at least she has one supporter in Carrie Dunn, who was responsible for this evening's live Strictly blog on the Grauniad. And after all, if the Grauniad agrees with Alesha's comments, they can't possibly be rude or offensive, can they?

If you think that is the language of a fishwife, then I can only imagine that you don't get out much.

Talk about an over exaggeration.

Shame about the lack of clarity and immoderate manner in which she expresses herself.

I loved Alesha for saying it. I thought she was right in what she said because he is constantly walking around thinking he's good when he is B*11UX and he is. Zoe, who could have been in the final went out at his stupid "Blackpool please" expense. And I didn't even really like Zoe much.

Such things escalate and get out of control....

The original person who started a shooting war will find she cannot now contain it. Bystanders will get hurt.

100% just watched it again. The more you see it, the nastier it gets. I think she needs to go and i thought i would never say that! I stuck up for her when she was getting all that backlash but even if she said those comments today, but with a mellow tone that would have been a lil better but it's almost like she was screaming at him with anger and hatred. Felt so sorry for him.
You know what's going to happen though. She will apologise next week, blah blah blah then all will be forgotten!

So shocked, because she always seeme the lovely type and i thought when she came on the show she would be a bit like Dannii Minogue, maybe not the best on comments but constructive and generally lovely. Obviously Not!

Do you not see any irony in that last sentence?
