She seemed to say it in temper. Hopefully she regrets it now.

Another week and X-Factor thrashes SCD with an extra 3 million viewers at its peak to SCD's peak.

I remember a time when they were virtually equally matched for viewers. What have the BBC done?

Alesha was a great choice for a judge.
Craig was a truly dire dancer.

Alesha had the right to say so.
Craig had the right to disbelieve the points he received (I thought he'd have scored even lower but hey)

Alesha's mistake was in thinking that in order to be direct she had to be rude. It's something we see every day on the News, when interviewers think they're being Robin Day assertive but are just being embarrassingly rude.

Alesha showed the paucity of her education, and her lack of class - again, as many on the box do.

I doubt Craig will lose a second's sleep over it - the things some people say are so breathtakingly rude that they cease to have any effect.

Alesha has seriously shown herself up.

On what criteria? I'm genuinely intrigued to know how/why she was a great choice to be a judge on a dancing contest?

Natalie is always humble & I don't think she thinks she's a better dancer than she is - she's just someone who loves dancing, wants to learn, tries hard & is delighted to be there.

I think Ricky G, altho' I slightly can't bear him, put a lot more into training than Craig did.

I've already said what I was asking for: for him to be less blasé, less cocky & more humble.

John S was a masterclass in gracious behaviour when he was kept in the competition, thanking the voters etc.

I agree. It seemed like she said the 'Zoe's gone & I've had to endure that' comment, then the audience booed, I think she realised she had made a mistake, got defensive and then sounded quite venomous in her next comment - as though she blamed Craig for getting booed.

Why is her education supposed to be a factor when it has never figured in comments about 'rude' comments from other judges?

I actually disagree that Alesha was a good choice for a judge, I really like her, but I'd rather have a pro dancer.

However I still think her comments to Craig were fair & justified & certainly no worse than the other judges have made in their time.

I didn't get to come on here last night but knew there might be a few comments about this

I thought she acted appallingly. Yes, Craig wasn't good but there was no need for her to act in the way she did. She was completely disrespectful, rude, insensitive and I thought she came across as very arrogant.
'I can't believe I had to endure that....' who the hell does she think she is?

I'd feel the same way if Bruno/Craig/Len had said those comments in the downright nasty way she said it.

I don't understand how anyone can think that what she did was acceptable.
It's not just what she said but the way in which she said it that was disgraceful.

It was the only sour point of a great show. I love when they go to Blackpool

I agree & disagree - I agree that I have no idea why people keep bringing her education into any comment on her judging.

However, I don't agree that it was no worse than what other judges have said. The other judges have been harsh in their time, but invariably critique the dance, or the dancer's ability to dance. I'm assuming that this year they have been told to always say something positive, as well the negative, so we are always hearing 'well done for trying' & 'I admire your verve' etc. So, this year in particular, the comments from judges have been very much related to the dance, have not been personal and have nearly always included a positive.

That is where Alesha's comment differed. It was entirely negative, was a personal insult and included no comment about the dance performed.

I agree. Its not like people such as Craig chose to be poor at dancing or are lazy in their training. They try as hard as anyone else it's just they can't get it. I think respect should be shown for the effort they make even if they end up the weakest dancer.

I totally agree. Bruce attacked Craig for being too personal towards Jo for a much lesser remark. Alesha's beef was actually with the voting public and her comments towards Craig were quite spiteful.

Yes, his dance was again poor last night and yes, better dancers have been voted out before him, but she could have made her point differently - as Len did - without it all being about her and her friend.

In fairness, it's all down to the public that Craig got through to Blackpool week and Zoe didn't.

It was harsh and unfair of Alesha to use that against him, as it really wasn't his doing!!

I think it's the spite in Alesha's voice as much as what she said. I can remember anyone else spitting venom at a contestant like that.

Feel free to prove me wrong though.

She is a cow, also seeing her on TV this week with Fern Britton, she is full of herself. Loved her dancing on SCD but now we see her true personality I do not like her at all.

We must have been watching different shows then as every year I've got annoyed with Craig & Arlene for unjustifiable personal insults: "Kangaroo, sexy as a peanut", even Len sometimes lays in.

At least Alesha's comments were within the context of the show - Craig's dancing, attitude, total lack of effort.

Exactly. Craig was the worse last night and deserved to go but to blame him for Zoe going last week is just ridiculous.

You see, when you make comments like that, your point loses any credibility it might of had to start with.

Talk about Alesha making personal insults !

(plus, it was Fearne Cotton)

Where do you get his total lack of effort? From ITT I thought he had been training the most?

Yes, I have been watching the shows ( I'm not really sure what you mean by that, sorry).

I'm more specifically talking about this year, where comments have been less acidic - and I always thought that telling Jo that her dance was like a bush kangaroo was not a personal insult - it just meant she bounced too much. But the main thing was - it was about the dance. He did not insult her personally, gave constructive criticism & ended on a positive.

Blimey who rattled your cage.

I don't like her as a judge, and have taken a complete u-turn in my opinion of her as a person. It's my opinion and I am sticking to it - so there

But Alesha didn't lay into him about his dancing she layed into him about Zoe leaving, he didn't vote her out. Frankly I'd rather have seen Craig last night than Zoe, if I want to watch paint dry I'll start decorating.

And does it matter if he's not as good as he thinks he is? She's there to critique the dance not what Craig's opinion of himself is. One of the functions of an attitude is to defend youself and self-worth. On ITT when Craig's talking being good he always says 'well, good for me' he's not saying he's good compared to the rest he's good for where he started.

Feel free - I've got no problem with anyone stating an opinion - that's what we're all here for.

But it's not really on to have a go at Alesha for throwing insults about, and start your post by calling her a cow.

I must admit I didn't find the comment rude because it was exactly what I was thinking ...

Whilst it's true that the public put Zoe & Ali in the final two last week, it was probably due to the campaign Craig conducted (Blackpool, Birthday etc etc) to try to get votes. Whilst not exactly cheating, it did seem quite orchestrated, for instance whenever Claudia was filming on ITT he would be in shot (unexpectedly from Claudia's response). Surely I'm not alone in thinking Claudia (and poor Flavia) were heartedly sick of him.

I know there is nothing in the rules to stop this sort of campaigning but it certainly disadvantages the other contestants (and make me cross).

PS I find Alesha's "you was" comments far more grating.

Ive read worse on here. Maybe it would have been better if I ended my post calling her a cow. Either way it's out there.
