she was very rude and too personal imo.

shes always been rather unpleasent to him but "I can't believe Zoe's gone and I had to endure that." and her other catty comments were completely out of order.

The Moral Majority and the Disgusteds of Tunbridge Wells are out in force tonight, aren't they?

I too breathed out sharply when Alesha made those comments, but I won't let it spoil my enjoyment of what was by far the best show of this series.

Did anyone see Flavia's face when she said it? She seemed lot less outraged than Erin in defence of Ricky. Maybe she too was thinking "Got it in one, girl!"

Don't be so precious, get over yourselves!

Harsh - yes but also accurate. I can, however, forgive her comments but I certainly will never forgive her mangling of the English language with her "You was this" and "You was that". It's "You were ..." you ignorant b**t!

The bigger question, why was he voting for Craig!?!”

I understand how the phone system works, but it should be an engaged tone or a 'this number is busy' message. 'This line is not in service' suggests that the number is closed to all people.

My brother-in-law was one of the people I mentioned who voted for Craig due to Alesha's insult, and while it didn't cause me to vote for him I can understand why others chose to do so.

I don't think her comments were wrong, she was just fed up with his lack of improvement. When Craig was sitting on the couch and being interviewed by Tess he said he thought he deserved higher marks and it wasn't a bad performance. He's got a touch of the John Sergeant about him - inflating his own opinion about his dance ability. Some people disapprove of arrogance, they find it an unattractive trait but if you're genuinely great or even good at something then you're entitled to be arrogant. The reality is he was a mediocre dancer at best and a rubbish one at worst! Any confidence or arrogance he had was misguided.

I did find him quite entertaining in a sort of 'dad dancing at your wedding' way but Alesha was entitled to get her catty claws out and give him a scratch.

I have loved Alesha for being everything I thought a woman should be. I really didn't think she had a nasty bone in her body. Tonight, the words she used and the way she delivered them was NASTY. I put them in capitals for a reason.

Much as Craig has gone and should have gone tonight I am actually sorry he has - all because I hate to see Alesha get her wish off of such an awful display of sheer arrogance.

I tell you, she might have bagged herself a plum job but I will never see her in the same light again. She might not care - fair enough. The Alesha I thought I knew (but clearly didn't) would have done.

Absolutely. She's still not taken on board comments from week 1 about closing her feet together!!

Not "I'll just stomp and hoof my way round the floor, grinning like a cheshire cat, with boundless energy and a wonderful exuberance" Natalie.

Oh No, she's only there because of her Eastenders fan base.....

Terrible comments from Alesha tonight, there was just no need for it, we all know how bad Craig was, I bet even Craig himself knew, but he had to stand there in front of 1500 people which included his parents and members of his family and be humiliated by a silly bitchy girl. She reminded me of a 15 year old having a 'kevin' moment because she didnt get her own way last week.

I never saw Craig as deluded, I actually saw someone lacking in confidence who knew exactly how rubbish he was, but he was masking it with bravado, and why shouldnt he be proud of the dance he just did, he got up in front of all those people and did it TWICE. I am glad he got to Blackpool, you could see it meant so much to him and I felt so sorry for him to be savaged like that by the judges.

Craig Kelly has acheived far more in his acting career than Alesha Dixon ever will. I am really disapointed in her, she has shown herself to be an silly immature and downright nastly little girl. I really hope the BBC realise their error and bring in Karen Hardy to Judge next time around.

Alesha was surprisingly NASTY tonight, as though she now feels she is a fully-fledged judge and can go as far as she likes.

Perhaps she does. Unfortunately the reality is shes still just a bit of eye candy who happened to do ballroom dancing for a few weeks and was quite good at it. And now finds herself sitting in judgement on everybody else for no other reason than to give men of a certain age something to drool over.

Silly, immature and nasty? So what would that make Arlene last year with her constant anti Seargent comments? Bitter, old and nasty?

If Craig had realised how bad he was, I'm sure her comments would not have been so blunt - it was his cloud cuckoo land opinion of himself that was the main problem.

Alesha's fans have never understood this (or maybe they do, but they want to keep peddling the myth in order to keep their girl for criticism?) but not everyone that thinks AD is an utter disaster as a judge, is a fan of Arlene Phillips. There are ways AP could have been pruned from the judges table and replaced by somebody that actually has the knowlage and credability to be there.

As it is, at least when AP was bitchy she was credible. When AD is bitchy, frankly, I'm surprised the contestents don't just laugh in her face.

Yes Immature because instead of finding a decent way to say it she just reverted back to the schoolyard.

It was the public who didnt vote for Zoe last week that got her into the dance off, All the contestants have their angle to beg for votes, it was obvious Craig was going to go this week, there was no need for her to stick the knife in his back, if she had maturity she would have found the right way to say it instead of making herself look nasty and humilating Craig in the process.

Right. This is what the judges said to Craig -

Craig - You better hope I think that people at home are voting for you because that wasn't good at all. It was flatfooted, stompy and in fact it reminded me of a Thunderbird - (he gave a 3)

Len - Well Craig I know your goal was to make it to Blackpool and you've done that and I'm so glad for you that you have achieved that, but you know this is a dance...and I don't like to be nasty or anything, but we've seen all the couples and in fairness to them I've got to say yours is the weakest performance, you know it's one of those things, it doesn't make you a bad person, it's just a fact...there's been some great performances today (he gave a 5)

This last bit is said whilst Craig replies - Well there has been some brilliant performances...

He goes on to say - I was just saying there's been some amazing performances and he had a great time he really thought it went well... for me any way...(he says something to Flavia I didn't catch)

Alesha - I'm happy you got to Blackpool Craig, but I can't believe Zoe's gone and I had to endure that...I'm not being..no it was like you ...no you're not as good as you think you are ...it's like you were tip toeing over hot coals, your cha cha walks were very feminine last week there was a glimmer of hope this weeks dad's back...sorry (she gave a 4)

Bruno - Craig my darling the beginning when you stood still I actually loved it because I could look at Flavia she's so gorgeous then the nightmare began I don't know if I'm ever gonna to wake up with that...they are all right I think we are getting to a stage now where we are see people achieving really really good standards and we cannot just let this go by..it just was not good enough (he gave a 5)

Craig replies - Bruno why do you do this to me?

Bruno - Because I like you...but I speak the truth

Craig - I was amazing in training...you don't see...

Why is Alesha's comment so much worse than Craig's or Bruno's?

It's not the first time a judge has made reference to a better dancer going at the expense of a poorer one. In what way did she was she rude? People on here have been saying for weeks that Craig is clearly deluded about his dancing ability and I'd say Flavia knows this, but humours him. So how should Alesha have phrased her comments? Should she have just said something bland and leave it to Craig and Bruno to be more specific than Len's 'you are the weakest dancer' line?

Well done Alesha for saying in a straight forward way what others have been saying for weeks. Arlene would have been proud of you. After all, Craig had already been told the same thing in a nice way so often, that nothing else would have got through to him.

Good grief - I can't believe this thread. She may have been unwise to say it out loud, but Alesha said what I was thinking, what doubtless all the other judges were thinking, and, judging by the bottom two, what the majority of the voting public were thinking too. Frankly I've found Craig to be both poor and somewhat conceited: he clearly wasn't anywhere as near as good a dancer as he believed himself to be, and, given the absence of supporting noises from Flavia, it would seem that she would agree too. No other celebrity at the bottom of the leader board has behaved that way - for everyone else it's been a case of acknowledging their weaknesses, and trying to make up for it in entertainment. I thought tonight's performance was abject, as if he was just pleased to be at Blackpool, and that was it for him. He deserved to go.

Finally, put yourself in the judges' shoes: it is blatantly obvious that certain dancers were poor, and you end up having to eliminate a semi-finalist or finalist in the middle of the competition. Of course it's annoying, and actually it means that the next few weeks are going to be slightly anti-climatic. As I say, perhaps Alesha was unwise to say it out loud, but by golly she was right.

Hallelujah, At long last something good and positive has been been said by Alesha.
Alesha said what the majority of people have been thinking of the past week.
Shame on Craig for deluding himself that he was good
Zoe lost her place in Blackpool because of him

Yes.

But at least she'd been a choreographer for donkey's years, and knew a bit about dance! I'm glad she's gone, I didn't like her either, especially the ranting she did in the media outside Strictly, but they should have got someone to replace her who was qualified to judge dance, not, as someone else said, someone whose sole ability is to be a bit of eye candy for men of a certain age.

Alesha is a performer in her own right and won the blooming show. Gawd alive, people need to move on and stop jumping on things she does.

Plenty of similar ccomments were made last year by ALL the judges about John S. The difference then is that JS was loveable and entertaining and knew he was rubbish which meant the public kept voting for him.

Fiona Phillips was another who got similar comments, as was Chris Parker and others.

Why such a fuss over Alesha saying something which is not only nothing new, but something with which the voting public clearly agreed.

Hi Buddy

I think the reason people objected more to Alesha's comment was because:

(a) She brought Zoe's exit into the equation. You just don't do that. Zoe was voted off fair and square, it had nothing to do with Craig.

(b) When she was first instilled as a judges, Alesha was talking about empathising with the celebs because she'd been there and done it. She made out it was more of a supportive, nurturing role. So you expect her comments to be kinder and more constructive.

Just my opinion of course!

And there we have it.

It is nothing to do with the fact Alesha spoke the truth tonight.

It is still all about the fact that some people don't want her as a judge.
