Auntie Beeb definitely "fixed" it tonight

Craig (as rubbish as he is) probably got the highest public vote tonight - if he wasn't in the top 3 i'll sell my house and live off peanuts

Beeb obviously couldn't stand the controversy and decided to arbitrarily dump Craig out

Always wondered why they dont disclose the way the public vote - there's no plausible explaination other than making it possible to rig the vote - as they did tonight

His story has been "get me to Blackpool"....he got there so I think many supporters would have thought their job was done.

Personally I think he was out the moment Zoe went. Least surprised I've been about someone going out all series.

Yup....generally once there's a shock exit the voters change their tune and get rid of the percieved worst.

Even if he got the top vote he would only have had 10 points and could still have been in the dance off. It would all depend on where the others were in terms of public vote. I dont believe he did get top vote but if anything ensured he went this week it was having no tied scores on the leaderboard so that the person at the bottom got 1 point and not 3 or 4 as in previous weeks.

JethroUK - I should add some fruit in with the peanuts, otherwise you're gonna make yourself ill.

Yeah, i think that definitely sealed the fate of the bottom 2 this week. I think its the first time this series where there hasnt been any tied places, and the bottom 2 on the leader board have also been least favourite with the public.

Agreed, and a little Cadbury chocolate will not come amiss.

Jethro, will you admit the above is complete rubbish? You could get into a lot of trouble for what you've said.

Just to let you know.

And you know this how?

The truth is that you don't. It's YOUR speculative conspiracy.

Is this right? I thought the possibility of that was all sorted out after last year.

If it is I'm sure he didn't get the highest but I wouldn't be surprised if he got a middling-high public vote.

It wasn't a fix it's just those people voting for Craig finally saw sense no offence Craig supporters

It's obvious to anyone - but as someone pointed out - it *still* wouldn't be enough to save him

The truth is that you don't. It's YOUR speculative conspiracy.
The truth is - if Auntie Beeb wasn't rigging the votes - they would declare the public vote and rule out 'speculation' - there is no other possible reason

Anyone can see that too

If they revealed the weekly vote it could influence further voting.

I think this is a good point. It definitely would influence the voting.

Oh definitely.

There are generally three categories of dancers, not very good, ok and good.

No-one really minds what order the not very good dancers go in and if there is a particularly lovely/ funny one they will be kept in for longer

Around half-way you will end up getting an ok dancer leaving before the rubbish ones have all gone. This makes everyone who like the good and ok dancers vote more and makes the supporters of the not very good think twice before voting, leading to the most rubbish dancer leaving in the next show.

I actually felt that John Sargeant would have been voted out in either the show he withdrew in or the one after because the joke would have been over so there wasn't actually any point in him leaving.

To me, the most interesting part of last night was the fact that there were no tied scores.

On the SCD forums all week some mathmeticians have been debating the tied scores favouring the weakest dancers and some complaints were made to the BBC and lo and behold, last night, no tied scores at all and the best dancers were not in the dance off.

Did the judges cotton on to the flaw in the voting system or was it pure coincidence that there was not one tied score?

I don't know it was a fix.....

But I am although I liked him glad Craig has gone....

BUT wasn't it funny that after more then one draw on the leaderboard each and every week this week there wasn't one......so the bottom couple did have 1.....interesting.

And this is bad for what reason exactly?

Here's good one - If people **know** (not speculate) that particular couple aren't being supported - they might support them! taaa daaa

Tied scores are less likely now there are fewer couples.
