Dance most likely to get celeb eliminated
I've just borrowed this list from Jan2555*GG* on the dances for 14th Nov thread in order to play a game. Which remaining dance do you think is most likely to get the celebrity elminated.
These are the dances they have left to do: Ali FT Tango Cha Cha Cha Samba Jade Tango AS Rumba Paso Ricky G QS VW Tango Samba Ricky W AS FT Cha Cha Cha Jive Natalie Waltz FT Rumba Samba Chris Waltz VW Paso Samba Laila Waltz AS Rumba Salsa Phil AS FT Paso Jive |

Talking purely of the voting being about the dancing ability, I'd go for:
Ali: Samba. Jade: Rumba Ricky G: Samba Ricky W: Cha Cha Cha Natalie: Rumba Chris: Samba Laila: Salsa Phil: Jive LOL. Says a lot about this years Latin!

It would have to be a Latin for all of them. For Ricky W I'd say the Jive, as that's the dance that can most noticeably go wrong.

I think ANY fast latin dance will get Laila eliminated.....
to me its not just the dance that gets people eliminated but thier publicity during the week....eg - this was a good week for Brian - lots of nice publicity and comments. SOfter side to him being shown.....a few articles in the papers......dont think the actual dance matters that much..... |

It does seem that the Latin is very weak this year. Interestingly the last person to go out on a ballroom was Lynda in week 4.
Which was also the last week there was a ballroom dance in the dance-off. |

I don't know. Lots of people have mentioned samba for instance, but that can be a crowd pleaser depending on the personality of the celeb. There are probably certain dances that the public find boring (irrespective of the celeb's competency) and those are more likely to get them eliminated (VW, rumba?). For example I don't think the samba would necessarily get Ricky G eliminated. Same for Phil T and jive.
It would be interesting to know statistically which dances more consistently result in eliminations. |

Waltz - 7 Viennesse Waltz - 2 Quickstep - 5 Tango - 7 Foxtrot - 5 American Smooth - 3 Argentine Tango - 2 Rumba - 7 Samba - 10 Cha Cha Cha - 5 Salsa - 4 Paso Doble - 7 Jive - 5 I must add that I wasn't able to find the dances which resulted in elimination for series 3 so these aren't included in the total. When it got to the two dances stage I have included both dances and I haven't included the dances danced by loosing finalists. It would seem that the samba is at the top of the list. |

I was going to say any couples which still have Samba left to do are in danger as that is the most difficult dance to do well seemingly.

What fun.......so glad my obsession for keeping on top of dances etc has proved useful
![]() I think anyone who has the Samba still needs to get it out of the way whilst there is still somewhere to hide amongst more couples. Ali is not good at fast latin BUT I do wonder if some of it has been too hard choreography from Brian (for the Salsa particularly) she only has 1 more 'pretty' ballroom (foxtrot) to do so she is going to have to raise her game. I think Jade is going to be good or reasonably good at all her dances left. Ricky G only has one more latin to do (Samba) so his scores could rise. Ricky W Ballroom is not going to be an issue (unless his training hours reduce even more or when we go to two dances in the week) I think Cha Cha and Jive could both be less high scoring than his ballroom Natalie....I dont think the Rumba will suit her. Chris I think the two waltz's could be great he was good at Tango first week so Paso could be fine but Samba might be an issue. Laila both latins might be a problem she should be fine on the waltz or AS (unless Anton puts illegal moves in again) Phil Only AS after this weeks FT then Paso and Jive both of which could be difficult. |

Rumba also looks like an obvious choice if forced to choose, but as Jade's story is tomboy athlete getting in touch with her softer side, I'd say the Rumba will be a culmination of her Strictly journey and will touch the voter's hearts if not the judges ![]() That being the case, I am going with this week's dance, the Paso. Ali Cha Cha Cha Jade Paso Ricky G VW Ricky W Jive Natalie Rumba Chris Samba Laila Salsa Phil Jive |

I agree that fast Latins are the problem, and Ali has two of them, along with relatively little public support outside her adoring fanbase , apparently. Hmmm!

I'm not playing this game any more! People keep surprising me with what they can do, or indeed can't do on some occasions. Chris's rumba, Tuffers' tango, Laila's paso, Ricky W's not-v-g salsa - it's just too hard
![]() ![]() All I want is for the standard to keep going up. I think Blackpool was a marked improvement for just about everyone except possibly Ricky G, and I want that to keep happening week on week. |
