I was wondering how people tend to give their support on SCD.

I know a lot of people have their faves and stick to them like glue with the support.

But for me, I normally pick one favourite (Alesha, Tom and Ricky W) but I also an really appreciate the other couples out there.

I always said if Gethin or Matt DA had won over Alesha, I would have been really happy with that result as they were both excellent. (Particularly Gethin who was amazing).

I always said if Lisa or Rachel had won over Tom, it would have been a great result too.

And this year, although Ricky W is my favourite dancer, if Ali or Jade win (not Chris because although I love him, he just doesnt have the pizzazz of the other 3) I will be more than happy.

Is this what other people do too?

Also, there tends to be one or two celebs who are normally good but get slated on the forums for various reasons relating to the sensible (Lisa not being as good as Latin as Rach/Tom) to the ridiculous (Ricky W and his 'faux-humilty').

If a couple won, who were really good dancers but you werent a fan of there's, would you still appreciate the result or kick up a huge fuss?

Im not posting this to cause arguments, Im just curious to know how other people view the SCD competition when there are more than one couple who could conceivably lift that glitterball.

Another Whittle Watcher here but, would quite happily transfer my vote to Jade, Chris or even Natalie

Ricky - Best male dancer I have seen since Colin

Jade - Great journey

Chris - Lovely personalty

Natalie - One of us!

EDIT: I forgot about Laila. I like her as well but, it's just Anton's Latin which lets them down.

I hate Ricky Whittle but if he won I wouldn't be upset in the way I was when Tom won.

I'm loving alot of people this year, but Laila Rouass is my favourite. I just love her, she's amazing.

But if Laila doesn't win I'll be supporting Ali, and would have been supporting Zoe if she was still in.

I do have a favourite couple (Ali and Brian), but I wouldn't be upset if Cola or Jade and Ian won as I like both of them couples as well.

Same with series 5, my favourite was Alesha and Matthew, but I would have been happy if Matt and Flavia had won.

Just one for me - Jade.

I like some of the others, but if the unthinkable happened and Jade went out, I wouldn't vote for anyone else.

Just realised I didn't actually answer the question. If Jade doesn't win I could happily watch most of those left in lift the glitter ball - and even those I haven't warmed to could win without me losing any sleep over it.

From series 1-6, I've picked someone to support from the line up when it's announced.Then, by usually the 3rd week at the latest, i've had a favourite I've backed because they won me over in the first round. Every series until this one had someone I supported from early on until they were eliminated.

This series it seems to be by the week and how well they've performed.

Week 4 was the first week I supported Laila & Anton, because i loved the Foxtrot. Since then, they haven't had my priority support on the night. Week 5, I supported Jade & Ian because I loved their VW. Week 1, along with ALi & Brian, I was backing Chris & Ola, because I really enjoyed their Rumba. It was the first and last time they've been in my top 2 for the week. Although they MAY be joint fave for me last night.

So it entirely depends this series on how they do each week. Ali & Brian were one of the top couples for me last night, but I'm not sure I can see them being in the top 2 next week, because of the latin round they have and the fact I don't seem to get too excited over the fast latin's this series.

I quite like not having a couple I support firmly. It'll hopefully make the final an interesting ride.

Who else do you like Ignazio? And ok, you wont vote for any of them but of the couples you think could win, would you still be happy with the result? (well, as happy as you could be).

For me:

Ricky and Natalie: I just love them so much. I think he is one of the best males ever and his dances make me smile. I really loved his Tango this week. I want them to win the most.

Jade and Ian: I love Jade's energy and her Ballroom is suprisingly elegant. Plus I love Ian - he is fantastic!!

Ali and Brian: Ali's elegant lines are so darn beautiful they make me want to cry. I wish I could dance like that!!!

I love Chris but I dont think he can improve enough to take on the big guns. I wish he could because I was excited about him at the start. But I love his partnership with Ola.

Natalie, bless her, I love her enthusiasm but if I see one more kick with a bent foot I may throw something at the TV! And Vinthenth is great, I hope he gets a potential winner next year.

Phil: Suprisingly good but like Chris, I just dont think he's got it in him to really take on the top three.

Ricky G: I fear we're coming close to the end of the road with Ricky which is a shame because I love his commitment and passion for the show. But his shoulders and lack of hip action just dont do it for me.

Laila: I just wish Anton would pull his finger out and give her a decent Latin. But watching that Cha Cha and Jive I dont think she's got it in her to deliver a decent Latin and its down to confidence. However, their Paso was pretty good and possibly a little undermarked.

However, they had a naughty lift! So I dont blame the judges for penalising them for that and she did lose drive halfway through which was a shame. I do love Anton's Pasos though, its his best latin.

I'm supporting three:

1. Laila & Anton

2. Chris & Ola

3. Natalie & Vincent

And I'm equally passionate about each of them

I don't really have a favourite this year which I'm thankful for because my phone bill can remain relatively unscathed for a change

I do like Team Cola and would like to see them in the final along with Jade & Ian and at the mo Ali & Brian. In saying that Ricky W is growing on me (I really liked the tango last night more than the quickstep actually)I like Phil & Katya too(more for Katya though) But I don't have a mad desire to vote which is much more relaxing.

Series 6- I was behind Lisa all the way and if she couldn't win I was happy to see Tom taking it (Austin was my number 3 and Jodie and Christine tied for my fourth faves)

Series 5- I was a Tish supporter and then Gethin

Series 4- I was for Matt Dawson then Mark,louisa and Emma(in that order)

Series 3- Zoe all the way (then James Martin-couldn't help myself!- and Colin)

Series 2- Jill all the way (Aled was my second favourite)

Series 1- Natasha (wasn't keen on any of the others)

i've often never heard of/ seen many of the celebs, and i watch strictly for the dancing (i know, silly me...) so i don't tend to have a loyalty vote to any particular celeb.... usually my favourites will emerge based primarily on their dancing and perhaps a little on the personality as I see it across the show. I'll usually hqve a clear idea who i want to win by the final / semi

This year I am enjoying Ricky Wittle and his partner is a superb choresographer, love Ali's ballroom, but definitely underwhelmed by her Latin, think Laila is better than she's being given a chance to show, and that Phil Tufnell is actually quite a good dancer but this is getting lost under the cheeky chappue routine. Jade is the best all rounder.

Phil and Katya - unsurprising really, as he's the only other sports person left. I also think he could be very good if he wasn't such a lazy sod.
Natalie and Vincent. She's a genuine fan of the competition and I love her pure unadulterated enthusiasm each week.
Laila and Anton: Well tbh just Laila, but she can't lift the glitterball alone, so I have to include him.

I know how much you like Ricky W and Natalie, but I just cannot take to him and I wouldn't get much pleasure from seeing him win.

I don't think Ricky G is good enough.

Ali's ballroom is beautiful but her latin is weak. she lacks spark and leaves me unmoved.

I can take or leave Chris. I won't care much either way if he wins.

I supported and voted for Zoe and James, now they are out I vote for the dance that I enjoy the most, last night it was Jade and Ian's jive...my favourite dance and imo it was performed beautifully.

There are only two couples left that I am not supporting - Ricky & Erin (they annoy me) and Laila & Anton (I can't warm to her and I don't like their partnership).

If any of the remaining couples win, I'll be happy.

Laila is my favourite by a long way. In the ballroom, not only does she look the part she's pretty good too. Realistically she's lagging behind some of the others as an "all round" dancer though...

That said, I don't mind who wins as long as it is for the dancing as opposed to "entertainment value"...

Not keen on Ali.
Laila? Meh.

Really like Jade.
Like Chris.
Like Ricky G and Tuffers.
Like Natalie.

Ricky W? I may grow to like him more.

So I'm keen on quite a few.

Generally by this stage I have one couple I 'support' more than others...although I don't vote.

Usually it's the most entertaining couple...which invariably means a decent standard (top 3 or 4) though not necessarily the best...plus an interesting celeb / partnership e.g. Darren & Lilia, Mark & Karen, Kelly & Brendan, Laila & Anton.

Last year was an exception when I stuck with Rachel & Vincent despite her lack of personality...because she was the best dancer for me and none of the other good ones had personalities which grabbed me much either.

I am supporting Brian and Ali and Chris and Ola.
But I would be happy for any to win except either Ricky's.....

I am supporting Jade and Chris........I like Ricky G but he isnt good enough to go all the way. I am not keen on Ricky W but like Tylertango if he won I wouldnt be as upset as I was when Tom beat Rachel as Ricky is a great dancer. If Ali or Laila won I wouldnt be upset as they both have their good points so I am fairly happy this year with whatever happens......now that Craig has gone ofcourse.

Just not passionate enough about the second to vote.

Don't worry Lou, once Natalie and/or Laila are gone, all my votes will be going to Team Cola and an extra one on your behalf!

Chris is the only one I get nervous for, emotional about and really want to see win.

However, if he doesn't win, I'd happily see Natalie or Jade win.

I thinks its so nice that a lot of people are supporting more than one couple, I think its keeping in the spirit of the show.
