I'm pretty sure that was a bead of perspiration - unless he's got a tear duct located in his left temple.

When I first noticed I thought it was a tear but then on looking a bit closer it definitely seemed more like sweat.

In terms of Natalie trying to take the blame, I think they both made mistakes and sometimes when one partner goes wrong it makes the other stumble so unless you watch closely again it can be hard to tell who was actually at fault.

Was she supposed to look like a plank or have tears down her cheeks then?

Ian Waite does that kind of 'manic grin' too. Or perhaps he's gay so he gets away with it?

You aren't supposed to grin in a Tango - a serious expression is the norm.

Its the same as the Paso!

Spoony got told off by the judges for grinning ONCE during his tango with Ola when he mucked up the head turns, never mind grinning through the whole routine.

As does Darren, Camilla did too and don't even get me started on Karen!

I watched the clip again in iplayer, and though she smiled in parts of the routine, it wasn't manic. It came across as her being delighted at Ricky's ability to lead her and execute his very difficult routine.

However I think some posters here are just taking a jibe at her 'smiling manically' in the QS last week, which I know can be off-putting for some. But Ian did so as well and if I recalled Ian dancing tango with Zoe, he opened his mouth many times to show aggression and it just looked camp as a row of tents.
