In fourth with judges but still avoided DO so what position would she have had to get with public?

She could've avoided the dance-off if she was last (9th), depending on where Craig and Ricky G came.

I would venture she could have been plumb last in the televote and still avoided the DO comfortably. I'm not suggesting she was...just that we don't know.

When the bottom 2 on the leader board are in the DO it tells us very little about the voting.

As the bottom two with the judges were in the dance-off, it's theoretically possible that Jade was bottom in the public vote.

Well, there were no ties this week, so it would have easier for those at the top to avoid the dance off.
