I love this dance.

I wish strictly would be more diverse in the dances they have & add a street or African dance

Like it, but not for SCD. Would be good for SYTYCD though!

It's a thought, but the clue is in the name: it's a spin on Come Dancing: latin/ballroom.

Good fun to watch, but we rarely see a good Samba on SCD, so I'd swap the Samba for the Charleston or the Jitterbug.

This is the Charleston danced by Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas (dance starts at about 1.40) - fabulous fun!

This is the Jitterbug danced by Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson (dance starts at about 2.20) - he did well for a 51 year old man!

My dad used to tell me stories of how good he was at the jitterbug. He said something about 'Oxford Bags' too.. now what that actually referred to, I'm not at all sure

Oxford Bags were more 1920s or 30s. The jitterbug was wartime and there was a shortage of material so they tried to make sure all clothing used the minimum amount of material and Oxford bags used a lot!
